Yeah so the book goes on sale at 12.01 AM tonight anyone here gonna buy it? Theres currently a huge price going on for the book. Tesco are selling it for 14.99 which is half the RRP and some shops are even selling it cheaper. So I think i'll be getting it. :)

What is so great about Harry Potter, i'm a kid- it's aimed at my age, but i don't see the point. There are many other GOOD authors out there without a load of hype around them-for instance Anothy Horrowitz (i dunno if you have him in america)

Yeah, I've pre-ordered mine from Borders. I have to pay a measly $17.95 for it[40% discount], but it's better than waiting for 2 months after it's out to actually get my hands on a copy.

I'll probably pick up a copy of the book when it comes out. I started reading the series when two had just come out, and then after the third everyone started making a big deal about the fourth. Luckily, I've never had a problem getting the books right when they come out. Got the fourth book the first day without a pre-order or anything, got the fifth book the first day the same way, and I'll get the sixth book also the same way.
Takes me about 18 hours if I include 6-7 hours for sleep to devour one of those bad boys, so once I get it I'll be pretty busy.
OMG i'm gonna go outside the store iwht my mom and wait 4 hours and be first to get it

I have yet to buy a Harry Potter book. I just don't understand all the hype.
While I was eating breakfast today and reading the paper, I came across this article about all the security measures the publishers go to. There was some random bookseller who released it early, and is now in the shit. Some kids bought it, and their parents made them return it to the store.

Not a huge fan of harry Potter. The books were always too Quick of a read for me. Thats Why i read Stephen King and Arthur C. Clark and a lot of classic novels.

I'm older than you and I enjoy it.
Also: Pope John Paul had no problem with Harry Potter. He just saw it as a great story. As if the pope should have any bearing on what people read.
You also cannot deny her skills as a writer. She makes her stories interesting. Any author that keeps me that encaptured to finish a 700 page book in less than a day deserves respect in my book.

Correction : It was a store in Canada that realeased it early on accident. The feds were alerted, and they told everyone who bought the book not to read it untill the stroke of midnight tonight.

i aint buyin it. im " borrowing it". it will be the first harry potter book i read in about 2 years. but i rather read some books by sir conan doyle ( sherlock holmes)
