Best of January, TV Appearance!

The winners for best of January have been selected! Each winner will receive $250 cash, an award certificate and a t-shirt!

The #1 game and #1 movie, as well as the randomly selected user of the month, will each receive the new Sony Walkman, courtesy the gang from Kempt, who made a promotional game for Sony - Super WalkLand! The Walkman is meant for people in the UK, so anyone else won't be able to plug it in to an outlet to charge it. Luckily, you can charge it via USB cable, so it doesn't much matter!

We've got music for everyone else, as well! All ten winners for best games and movies will each receive "The Tide And The Undertow", by Extra Blue Kind, courtesy of Opulent Records. You can see the video for one of their songs right here on Newgrounds! It was featured on the front page in December.

All ten winners will also receive the entire Cartoon Smart collection on DVD, a $250 value!

The new tank logo t-shirts are arriving on Monday, at which point I can finally send out the prizes for both best of December and best of January!

To be honest, I don't think number 7 kept the older episodes' standards. Both the storyline and the animation technique has grown more mainstream. But oh well, it still Salad Fingers and I didn't dislike it.

Man. No disrespect to those artists, but I'm sick of seeing series episodes getting voted high on the monthly vote mainly BECAUSE they're part of an established series. I can understand them getting better scores on the portal, but I'd have thought the top 2000 exp users had more integrity and would maybe vote for some more underdog stuff.

I personally thing that once a series has won a prize, it shouldn't be allowed to contend again. Give some of the recognition/financial rewards back to the guys who DON'T already have a fan following, but are still making superb flash.
