After thought: what I mean by "images I know are on more than one website", are those people who have a NG account, deviant, dark-nest, and there own websites they manage. You know like Ackanime, or Therealshadman.

I tested this too, useing my Blue Eyed Dragon pic. I have that one here, on Deviant and on Elfwood. I entered the URL for my NG one and it showed a list of images (most of which make no sense to me). I clicked the image of my dragon and it pulled up the search results for that image, coming up with two results for Deviant art (same thing twice), but nothing for Elfwood.

I tested this again with my First Flight pic, which is up here, on Deviant, Elfwood, and a forum I art mod on. That came up with no results at all (after clicking my picture).

All I can say to that is what the site itself says: "Our search index is still very small-just a fraction of all the images on the web! But our index is always growing, so be sure to search for this image again later."

That and if a site is protected by robot.txt, then though luck!

First off, that IS me.

Second off, I edited MY picture from when I was protesting. Ironically enough the protest back then was about stopping the government from electronically spying on civilians. I was proud of that picture because out of the hundreds of people who sent in pictures for the protest, I was chosen to be their face.

Third off, thanks for putting a black mark on my name unfairly. You could have talked with me about it in privet, but no. You had to jump to conclusions and dirty up another persons reputation. Well congratulations on being a prime example of an unbiased and helpful moderator.

Fourth off, I was just asking for help as to how Tineye works. I thank you for the steps, but the last part could have been handled better on your part. You turned my request for help into a witch-hunt.

Fifth off, I am really pissed off at you for accusing me of stealing my own identity, I will remember this when you want my help with something.

At this point I really do not care what TurkeyOnAstick thinks about me. I don't care if you think I am "not real" because my ideas, my actions, and the fact I am here to help others, speak louder than your insult. Getting up would imply that i actually go to sleep.

Also great job on the scouting guys. A tip would be after this list is done is to check the back pages first of the unscouted section, and then go through each page from there to find hidden gems. Also a I find that looking at peoples favorites is a good way to catch some who for whatever reason arent in the unscouted section and still need scouting.

JFYI "loli" is short for "Lolita" which was the user name of one of Americas most prolific pedophile rapists. I will still be on the look out for any more talents in the unscouted section and suggest adding them if I find any worth mentioning.

I also can't find anyone stealing art, posting photos, or messing with the age limit to get more views. Everyone is behaving tonight.

This is exactly why I hate spammers. I wish I could help, the best I can do is leave a review saying that he stole the art. I am not a mod so I cannot personally fix this. Hopefully Captain or Ornery will see this soon.

For the future just flag the submission, and put as much description and detail with links of why its stolen or breaks the rules and the mods will take care of it pretty quick. I know that I personally check pieces that are flagged every 10-20 minutes that I am on NG, so chances are I'll see the flag and take care of it from there. And when im not around im sure the other mods do it pretty regularly as well.

Feel free to do detective work, it makes our job easier than just saying "stolen" and giving no other info. But don't try PMing the user or you might fuck up a potential snare. Its best to just flag a piece and leave it to the mods to handle the rest.

Here is a guide for detective work. (The next step assumes that the previous failed to produce results)
1.Tineye
2. Do they have a deviant art? If yes check there. Does it match the work?
3. Search deviantart anyway, use similar titles or characters (search by popularity seems to get faster results, because people steal good stuff most of the time)
4. Is there a signature on the piece? Does it match each piece? Can you read the name?
5. If they have a name listed, google it, look for a real artist website.
6. If you find their real website, you can either flag it and use that as a link (most real artists will link to their official website) or PM a mod and have them look into it, it is possible that the website is old and its not a thief, but mods have their own secret tricks for telling. Please don't PM the possible thief, it just makes our job harder.
7. If no website is found but you are still sure search other art websites you frequent, you'd be suprised what comes up.
8. If you are still sure its stolen but cant find any proof either flag it so that we are alerted, or post a link in here and other users might have better luck. We will let you know if we find out that it is a legit artist so that you all can relax.

I have already gotten used to using TinEye, it helped me to flag two other people before.
I am familiar with deviantart, but I do not frequently visit. I only ever go there to view friends arts they post there. Maybe I should make an account and use it to lurk there in secret. I want to be helpful, and reliable, sometimes I get carried away. Its a good thing I caught myself this time, it could have ended up pretty messy.

In other news, LegolaSS, I just snagged two more. Kevinsano and SunnyRays. So far my scouts are really freindly and grateful for the scouting. So thanks for taking the time to make the lists you and Ornery made.

Sadly that's out of our hands. Your best bet is to PM an admin, because only they can control the flash portal, once it leaves the art portal its beyond our powers.
