I'm not asking what most people think I am. I'm not asking this in a perverted or lover boy kind of way, but it seems to be that the female body is considered beautiful by a lot of people of all sexes and sexual orientation, even gay men. Sure, not everyone that finds it beautiful is sexually attracted to it, even a lot of purely straight women aren't attracted to it sexually but admit to it's beauty. What's the draw to it? I'm talking psychologically of course.

Soft features, essentially. At the very VERY basic level, round objects seem friendlier than objects with sharp edges. Women are more curvy, their faces have softer features etc.

A lot of us treat the female form as an object subconsciously because of that otherness it offers to men, I think, going over my knowledge of psychoanalytic thought. Think about the sort of imagery we associate with the female body for instance: fruit, plants, etc. Things that are pure, natural, of-the-earth so to speak. Our subconscious sexism is often so deep we don't realise it. Not developing a healthy sexual lifestyle will have a lusting for those delicious fruits and the aromas of those delightful flowers to the extent that you're very greedy, always loving and not letting your own body be acknowledged because you're scared of the rebound thought.
This is an extreme of course, very dramaticised, but it's how I often think about sexual matters. I think too many people seperate physical and emotional love, like they seperate physical and emotional torment. I think you buy them as a set.
I think it is partly somewhat determined by shape like people have said, but the shape is only the barest part of our subconscious attempt to make sense of what we see. I don't know, I really need to enlighten myself again really.

I disagree. Penises still have beautiful qualities about them. Some of us won't want to admit it because we consider it frightening and abnormal.
