The Newgrounds Gijinka collab.

Ok so, many of you may have seen the Gijinka thread I created earlier this week, and was, oddly enough, extremely popular. Now this thread is similar to the original thread, except obviously this is a collaboration. The other thread was for fun, so continue to post in that; but this thread is for your best works. By best works I mean:

-Fully coloured.
-To the best of your ability
-Done on a suitable medium
-Plenty of time put into this. I want your sweat and tears put into these drawings.

Ashman and I are the collaboration organisers, and as far as I know, Kinsei01 is in with us too.

So far we have a starting animation, and a few pictures that we're gonna put in. I'll make a newspost stating which Pokemon are already taken, as duplicates would be nice to avoid.

If you do join this collab, please pick a line of pokem, e.g Nidoran, Nidorino, Nidoking.

Post them here, and we'll tell you if it's accepted. Each picture must come with the dex number of the pokemon, and the pokemon's name. Try and personify the pokemon well too. Also, no catgirls.

So, i'll go over the rules again.

MUST HAVE PLENTY OF EFFORT.
MUST BE IN FULL COLOUR.
YOU MAY HAVE BACKGROUNDS, BUT THEY MUST BE MINIMALISTIC.
THE MAIN FOCUS MUST BE THE GIJINKA.
THE DIMENSIONS ARE: 648x408
POST YOUR IMAGES HERE, AND ASHMAN AND I WILL ACCEPT THEM.

So basically, go forth, have fun, and MAKE SOME GIJINKAS!

Also here is an example of a Gijinka, number 01; Bulbasaur. This has yet to be refitted for the collab however.

Yeah, Ashman ran me through all that, and he said you were just adjusting the angle of the screen and fixing the reflection issue. He measured the screen in PhotoShop.

screen size for now subject to change, if it changes, it wont be bigger, im assuming well make it smaller, so keep your pics at that size and we can do what we need with them

not really so much a hybrid, but more of people that somewhat look similar to certain pokemon.
they did it a lot in the comics and tv series.

Gijinkas can have sharp animalistic teeth or claws though. It's pretty common in the style.

That's the thing. Most people who do gijinka's make it a cosplay. "Oh, look at me, I'm dressed up like a pikachu. It's not really that fun or creative. While my pieces I've contributed to the other thread aren't exactly clean and well done, they're at least creative, which is something that a lot of people fail to do...

Ivysaur.

I went for a sort of punk kind of thing, as Bulbasaur seems to be a kind of cute pokemon, but as it progresses it gets kinda angry and weird looking. So I made Ivysaur a teenage punk with piercings and stuff.

Well, I'm sticking to the kabuto family. I re-sized the picture and also added some lighting that probably either fucked it up or won't be visible. I don't know if I should actually write the name, but otherwise it'd look quite empty. I also made it look quite fancy, just in case.

I'll post a wip of kabuto soon. (btw, should I only post finished work here, or are wips okay, too?)
