I play in a band and we're planning to make t-shirts, but well, we need a cool logo because a picture with the name above it is just lame. So I thought, let's ask the people here, because the art stuff always look really cool.

We haven't got anything specific in our minds but we just need something cool. Though I was thinking of something digitally made thingy-stuff... xd

If you feel interested, post an example of your best work and you might be chosen by us. And if you get chosen, we'll ask you to make some examples of what you think of when you listen to our music:

It doesn't have to match our current logo. (which is not really awesome...)

Then we'll chose the best example and ask you to finish it.

Be creative, but we're going for the urban look, so not too bright colours and also not too dark, probably with some gray/brown-ish stuff.

Well we need a t-shirt design, but you have to see "Complexx" on it, so it might might be used as a logo too.

I can try to make a fancy logo for my fellow dutchies. For a sampler of my art you can browse through my art gallery, although like gumby, I dont really have logo/design stuff in there.
This one would probably come closest.

Used to do this (kinda) at my old job a bit. Course I don't have any of the logos I designed now, except my band's (which I am uploading, despite it not being my best work).

I dunno if I can be of any help, my general school of thought for logos is simple/smaller is better.

Are you using this for everything or just this run of shirts? Do you want the logo file afterwards in a printer's format?

Do you want some kind of character, is it just typography, some kind of combination of the two or some kind of symbol to represent your band with the band name going over, under or around it?

lollz DUTCHIES FTW xd yea we're really happy to support Go back to the zoo. Your art looks nice, I think you could be the one we'd need :P

You can also use our current logo as a basis and make the cool stuff around it (if you know what I mean)

Well we're more looking for a cool t-shirt design, like some weird stuff and then seeing "Complexx" in it somehow :P the logo can be abstract, but the "scenery" around it (like a lot of lines or something) make it worth buying the t-shirt, rather than just having the logo on a t-shirt.

Made this logo for my friend's band and they use it all the time on stuff! It's fairly simple but that's the goal. I like the kind of logo that someone could easily doodle in their sketchbook while listening to the band, kind of like Red Hot Chili Peppers (asterisk) or Jamiroquai (man in horned fluffy hat).

ignore the crappy white outline, im used to exporting to png which doesnt work on ng.
i'll figure that one out someday.
