That.. Wasn't exactly helpful, but okay. If you're referring to that previous image of my little piece of 'comic'.. It's not meant to be soft and standard hatching. You could have the feeling it doesn't work of course, but non the less, that was the style I was going for.

So, yesterday I started my internship in the Belgian animationstudio Walking the Dog, and I was learning to draw some of the characters of a movie they're making. I almost started uploading one of my drawings, when I realised I probably wasn't allowed.. Movie in the making and all. Anyway, we're all given Wacom Cyntiq's, and that shit really draws awesomely. It's a bit odd to be able to almost count the pixels, but still. Cool stuff. Way better than a graphic tablet..

So, here's a quick and faulty pic I drew while I should actually be practicing:

To clarify, that little glove we use is to keep our hands from sticking to the tablet so we can still make fluent lines, and to keep the tablet from becoming icky with sweaty palms. And also it's +3 charisma.

Comic time! I just finished a paper on a long forgotten politician/journalist/lawyer Hippolyte Metdepenningen, and since my teacher knew there wasn't much information to find on the bloke, she encouraged me to 'do something creative' with it.
Of course, comics!
Tiny bit of background info: Hippolyte was an anti-separatist, wanted to keep Belgium atthached to the Netherlands and Willem I was the king of Holland.

I realise these will kind of look like comics from 'Hark! A vagrant', but with my style, in black and white, and a comic about history.. It seems rather unavoidable.
(If you don't know Hark a vagrant.. Go find teh google, you ignorant savage)
