I think I remember seeing it before, it was on one of those DVD things that have like 10 movies (one movie on each side of the disk). Something about this peasant/theif kid that uses these twin pair of katanas that have a wolf sign on the grip. Runs into a old guy that tells him its the mark of a prince..yadi yada finds more people that have different traits (ninja, solider, etc.) and Im sure the bad guy that played in it was the guy that did the original Street Fighter movies, Sonny Chiba I think?

Response to kusari-fundo May 7, 2004

I have never even heard of it, sounds cool though. I should go and check it out!

Response to kusari-fundo May 7, 2004

Its supposed to have some cameos from Hanzo Hattori, although he sorta plays a bad guy in that too. His "daughter" helps out the prince guy in the film that is after she tries to steal the katanas for her "father". Bunch of off the wall stuff they do to fight the main bad guys army, still cool though.

I've seen it, it's good enough. Cool effects and extremely cool fighting scenes. I loved the scene where the two ninja lookalike girls had their final showdown...bloody scene.

Ah someone else saw it, I liked the part where they had the clan of ninjas corned in that one building, and the guards used their spears against them. Like impaling them through the walls and stuff haha.

Response to kusari-fundo May 7, 2004

And I also liked the Spike Trap scene...dumb peasants running right into it, hehe.

It looked pretty obvious too that it was there, but it just wouldnt be that good if there wasnt a spike trap. Always the same scream too when it happens "Gwaah!!"

Oh! Yes! is one of my favorite scenes! >:)

And some people thinks that Kill Bill was bloody...they haven't seen this movie!

Well consider the movie was a little old maybe like late 70's alot of people probaly havent seen it. Now I want to get those twin wolf katanas. I think the guy kinda looks like the Samurai guy from Onimusha, maybe it's just me.

Hahaha... No, isn't only you...I thought the same...

It seems that suddenly swords are popular again :)

Do you want a Katana ? I could send you one...

Man, that movie kicked ass! Remember when the asian dude pulled out two katanas and lunged himself to the guy in black with the staff? It was cool how he chopped up the staff and sliced his head off with a simple, graceful swing. There was more blood in that part than a Quentin Tarantino movie!

There are only a few left. I guess you can search Kazaa or any other program that downlods movies.

Another part I would like to state(for those who haven't seen it) Is when this guy with two claws started running toward the katana gy. They were parrying each other swiftly with the speed of a bullet. The katana guy was too fast for the dude and he chopped off one of his hands. After that he cut his gut open, and blood and intestines were pouring everywhere!

Anyone that has seen it, should post their favorite parts.

Is my imagination or everybody really loves blood these days?

Don't worry. We'll tell you some of the best parts. My old Kung-Fu teacher was i the movie. I think he was a bad guy and had a sword rip through his heart! He did kill some guys at least. I think this is the movie Quentin Tarantino based Kill Bill's violence off of. There's some blood showers too.

Yeah actually QT did an interview about it. I am a huge QT fanatic too, and I watched this movie a long time ago. It's amazing to see how many things in Kill Bill are actually based on this movie. It is a classic movie, I recommend you check it out if you haven't seen it.

Yeah it is really bloody. I wonder if movies are getting worse each year or more cleaned up.. Cuz this movie is insanly bloody. And movies like Scarface, that is pretty violent. A lot of older movies have a ton of violence that I think people don't notice to often. To many people think violence has just started in movies recently, and then people will bitch about how it corrupts society, even though this violence has been around for years.

I dunno I think in the 70s. And for genre, well movie places have a lot of different sections. If you have an older section it could be there, or maybe a kung fu section, or action. Call Blockbuster and ask for it. The BB here doesn't carry it (I know since I used to work there)

Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking...Maybe Quentin Tarantino saw the movie sometime ago and then he thought: "Mmmm...I'm going to make something like this one day, so much blood...this must kick ass!"

Maybe...that could be something real in places like where you live Vidar, just take a look outside and tell me when was the last time that you saw the sun...

* (OMG! Ulven is a vampire!) *

But is a classic! When can spoil it if we want!

Imaginary situation:

"Hey guys, have you seen the movie Titanic? "
"yes, was a great movie! At the end the Titanic swank!"
"OMG! Why did you said that! I wanted to see it!"

lol

Why did you change of mind in less of a minute? The blood? Or because people thinks that Kill Bill is related to this movie?
