I thought this website has people who are looking for some serious voice actors, but all I can find is people who prefer overly fake gay ass voices that doesn't even make sense.

It's enough, I don't need u, kids. I don't need u at all actually. I have my youtube channel running and some projects.
It's really annoying how all these "I am creating a game or anime"amateurs appear here who are looking for voice actors for their generetic lifeless unfinished games and who reject highly qualified voices that are far beyond their shitty project.
They have absolutely no idea of what a good voice performance sounds like and they prefer a overly sqeeky or stereotype dumb voice over an authentic sounding voice as u see in professional anime/movies.

I'm out. This is kindergarden.

Dont take this the wrong way but first of. you have no demo reel to show to people what you can do. and second. if im being perfeclty honest. hearing your audition for the videogame role ( i applyd for this one aswell) you lack inflection and your voice acting needs alot of work. shit takes time man you cant rush things...i would do a bit more research and practise your craft more aswell as understanding the basics of audio recording before trying out for auditions. as it seems thats what youv been doing and it hasent been working out for you. best of luck

I have it

Dude, no you don't. The projects you're talking about want those specific voices, bad or not. You don't tell them no fuck you in favour of your own artistic integrity. You want serious projects? get your name out there, don't say no. And also make a demo reel before you call yourself a voice actor. You want special treatment, earn it by doing jobs and getting experience. However good you might think you are, you need to prove that before you can move on to better things. Like with at least a minute long reel. Not 47 seconds of you trying out a pickachu voice, and saying that was "practicing" and you could do way better.

why don't u learn from me?

I dislike when voice actors talk down to either other VA's or creators. All this complaining you're doing is just showing other people that working with you would be a mistake.
I get the frustration of not being chosen to work on projects, but complaining about it on a site where there's a lot of creators looking for voice talent is pretty stupid.
Also, having the ego you have with NOTHING to show for it is very childish.
You need training and you need to be able to ACT. Based off of what I heard from you, there's room for improvement.

u said childish. That means I am doing something good :D

Okay, I read this thread from top to bottom and I agreed with you for awhile on the state of this forum. Then you kind of got petty in your responses to others so I'm sure you'll be petty in your response to this too.

I watched your YouTube link and viewed your profile + submissions, so here's a couple notes:

1. You've been on the site for 3 months so you may not know this, but a lot of really talented animators tend to grab voices from their circles. You gotta network, not just pander to every little post on this section on the site.
2. Your mic quality is terrible. My guess would be USB Samson or some other 40-60 desktop mic. Sometimes quality will win over a good performance for a role so that each time you speak it doesn't take the audience out of a scene.
3. Your video and your demos, you're too quiet. All you do is whisper. Even if you can't display a range of vocal emotions, pitches and characters a good voice actor can perform; more importantly yell. You can't run a sad scene by talking like you would to your parents after you broke the family vase, and that also won't work for angry, happy, or any other human emotion.
4. Your performance is not very good so don't act like a jerk to anybody willing to point out a flaw. If you're not looking to improve, forget doing anything related to the arts. You burn connections and nobody will want to work with a d*ck even if their tape is god-tier(which yours isn't)
5. Stop breathing into the mic, or at the very least cut out the breaths in post. When was the last time you heard a cartoon character breath if not for being purposeful to the dialogue.
6. Now this might sound crazy, but not every animation or game NEEDS serious VA work. Sometimes the over-the-top style is fitting to the humor or satire or character building. Take Overwatch for example, they sound ridiculous and sometimes a little stereotypical(One Aussie/Brit I know can't stand the Tracer and Junkrat lines). What you're looking for is more slice of life work or a serious production.

Hope that helps,

-b

Just some constructive criticism, your vocal recordings have too much background noise, the levels are too high and as it was stated earlier you need to practice on line delivery and acting. I don't know everything and I would hope everyone who really loves doing VO succeeds so please take this advice and work on what you need to work on. I'm not the greatest but I work hard and fortunately have somewhat of a natural talent for this which is by no means enough but I work hard to be amazing and not just ok. If you'd like check out some of my demos. I offer them as inspiration and some examples, not as a comparison or to say they are the greatest but as a template. Good luck and don't give up, everything worth doing is difficult. It doesn't just happen overnight.
