I make my own cartoon now. Don't need to work for u.
People can apply for me now.
Okay, I read this thread from top to bottom and I agreed with you for awhile on the state of this forum. Then you kind of got petty in your responses to others so I'm sure you'll be petty in your response to this too.
I watched your YouTube link and viewed your profile + submissions, so here's a couple notes:
1. You've been on the site for 3 months so you may not know this, but a lot of really talented animators tend to grab voices from their circles. You gotta network, not just pander to every little post on this section on the site.
2. Your mic quality is terrible. My guess would be USB Samson or some other 40-60 desktop mic. Sometimes quality will win over a good performance for a role so that each time you speak it doesn't take the audience out of a scene.
3. Your video and your demos, you're too quiet. All you do is whisper. Even if you can't display a range of vocal emotions, pitches and characters a good voice actor can perform; more importantly yell. You can't run a sad scene by talking like you would to your parents after you broke the family vase, and that also won't work for angry, happy, or any other human emotion.
4. Your performance is not very good so don't act like a jerk to anybody willing to point out a flaw. If you're not looking to improve, forget doing anything related to the arts. You burn connections and nobody will want to work with a d*ck even if their tape is god-tier(which yours isn't)
5. Stop breathing into the mic, or at the very least cut out the breaths in post. When was the last time you heard a cartoon character breath if not for being purposeful to the dialogue.
6. Now this might sound crazy, but not every animation or game NEEDS serious VA work. Sometimes the over-the-top style is fitting to the humor or satire or character building. Take Overwatch for example, they sound ridiculous and sometimes a little stereotypical(One Aussie/Brit I know can't stand the Tracer and Junkrat lines). What you're looking for is more slice of life work or a serious production.
Hope that helps,
