Sorry. I asummed to much. Ever since EverBlayde made that tutorial with an engine he didn't even understand I've been assuming everyone has been copying it. It is my fault and I appoligize. However if your using that for a game you might want to make it so you cannot jump through the bottom of platforms.

Water or Future? Water or Future?
That's a tough one. As someone with a bit of an animation background I can tell you all that Disney's Animation Studios looks specifically for people's portfolios to include things with water. Why? Because it's the HARDEST thing to animate out there. That and human forms.
I personally like the idea of a future theme, but I agree it could become too cheesy too fast.

Make it both water AND future... that way everyone's happy. Plus, if people want to do something artistic about water, they can just do some tiny little thing to imply it's the future. Or you could make it so people can choose and do either. I dunno, but one of those combinations, that would be great.

I'm not sure I'm for both water AND future. I mean, that severely limits us in what we can do. I think one of the best things about the Green one was how many ways "Fly" could be thought as. The insect, the act of flying, birds, planes, etc. I think if we say "Water and Future" it will put most of the submissions down the same old road. So I think one or the other.
Either way, I'll enter.

Hey Myname, I have some suggestions for the next one. Could you put more into the rules so they're official? Everyone wanted to know:
1) How long they should be (on average)
2) If gradients could be used
3) If alphas could be used
4) How to put everything into a movie clip

I just think if you stated all that from the start it would cut down on confusion. (Not that everyone will follow the rules anyway =P
Just a suggestion, take it or leave it.

I personally think a gr8 concept would be water AND future, like the city of atlantis, and see how different artists interpret it.
