You may be right, sir, but tiredness prevents me from having particularly high fact-checking standards for most of the time. I can never seem to get to sleep before like 5am, which proves to be problematic when I need to be up at around 8am :/

As long as I never become a news reporter, we should be safe ;P

I WONDER IF BY "SURPRISE" YOU MEANT THAT IT WAS HIS B-DAY OR THAT THERE'S LINKS TO SHE-MALE PORNS IN THAT THREAD. o_o

Discussing this with you last night, but I didn't want to ask who was getting the votes... you probably wouldn't have told me anyway ;P

Nope, I don't tell anyone the votes until the update's up.

Still, Like I said to you a while ago, it's not necessary to have a new regular EVERY month. There's times where people just can't agree, or there isn't one or two solid candidates who really deserve to be voted in.

True, last month wasn't so good, but this month is looking better so far.

Jun 2008 -- Major-Punk
Hmm... next time you're on AIM, I'll have a chat with you about what to do with the Major-Punk situation... it seems a bit unceremonious to simply cast him aside considering the circumstances.

And we did. As we said, we thought we should add a note to him there, but I'm still a bit unsure on what to do exactly.

Has it really been 4 months that we've been off this list for? ;_;

Indeed it has. :o

These are all based off of a 30 day period. This shows the amount of points you gained per day in each category applicable.
Looks good this time, only the post average is too high. According to NG Log I made about 5 posts a day, so there seems to be a "times 2" there in the formula that doesn't belong there. ;)

Hmm, I'm guessing this was from the problems the list had last month. It should clear up next month.

INTERESTING. I hope that means they both get to JOIN IN TEH FUNS.

It's funny that 3 people (or 2 people or 1 person, however the "weighted votes" work, right?) voted for Captain Bob when he likely would ask to be retired immediately upon being voted in.

Well, as we all know, not much seem to have happened last month, so CaptainBob managed to get a few votes.

Coop just said something negative about FF, too. That he outgrew it when he turned 20 or some shit like that. ;_;

Coop83 = iscrulz

And even WITH the Hot Coffee mod/hack enabled as Rockstar left it in the game code, the girls still aren't naked, they're wearing clothes. People actually had to hack into the code and MAKE TEH CHANGES and insert new skins/textures to make the girls naked.

And that's what got the AO rating for GTA:SA? LOL!

Which is something anyone who wanted to do so badly.... could do to any game, such as FF, even. #;-}>

Tomb Raider's been a victim of that, but Eidos fought against those sad perverts.

Thanks man. I saw this message days ago, but I've been too lazy to respond to people. I blame having to go on ride along patrols for my internship during the hours of 7pm to 3am. That whole ordeal messed up my sleep schedule for a few days.

Speaking of which, night patrols are a lot different than day patrols. It's a lot more regulating kids who are out after hours and making sure drunk people don't mess with the town's shit. There are more DUIs too obviously, but I wasn't able to see one of those.

On Saturday, we found this girl passed out in a car from being drunk. She was 17 and had a BAC of .21 so she was absolutely hammered. She had to go to the hospital for a stomach pumping too. To top it all off, her dumb underage friends who had also been drinking walk right up to the cop and ask if somethings wrong. Once the officer smelled the alcohol on them, he gave them tests and tickets with the subsequent positive results. It's a good thing we found the first girl when we did, because the one girl said that she was intending to drive before with alcohol in her system but since she never got into the car and put the keys in the ignition she couldn't get a drinking and driving charge so lucky her I guess. Man, I don't remember teenagers being this stupid with alcohol.

More of a general vibe I get from some of the old guard. Joe and ramagi, for instance, both said they never wanted to be voted into the membership. I know we're talking about regularhood here and not membership, but... eh, same diff, really.

I meant by the activity of the users who have posted here. It's much better than last month.

Well, all except one IMO, but I'm not naming anyone.
Everyone's insecurity: "OH SHIT, HE MEANS ME."

LOL yes. But maybe, that person isn't too bothered. XP

Well, the short length was quite an advantage for me since it meant not having to watch the boring film for longer. At least Hancock was much better than this, despite the major flaws.
I ain't seein' either of 'em anytime soon.

Don't ever see I Am Legend! Seriously, I hated it so much, it's ranked in my top worst films of all time. Here's what I think are the worst films of all time (NOTE: I cannot add anything I haven't seen, so no Super Mario Bros. movie here or whatever the hell is supposed to be the worst movie of all time):

1. Kingdom of Heaven - So boring, so lame, I'm a sad git to remember the name of this crap.
2. Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within - The only thing relevant to FF is someone called Cid.
3. I Am Legend - What I've explained here.
4. The Simpsons Movie - I know there'll be those who disagree with me, but to me, this film is absolute crap. This contains the worst "joke" of all time known as Spiderpig. Such a fucking lame joke and I'm appalled at how popular it became. Another thing, the plot was just bland.
5. Red Dragon - I expected to see dragons in this film, not some human douchebag who just says "I am the dragon." Also, it was boring as fuck.

And a bunch of Disney films, but since there's so many to choose from, I cannot decide which one is the worst. But yeah, those five I hate the most.

What is it with Wil Smith appearing in movies with great concepts/novels they're based on and then... they end up sucking... lately?

I haven't seen I, Robot and wasn't interested in it anyway. I Am Legend, I didn't see any clips of it, but I expected to see something epic, not something so dull. And Hancock, I did see the trailer of it and thought it looked good. I liked the idea of a superhero bum, so I wanted to see it. However, I was hugely disappointed.

Well, as we all know, not much seem to have happened last month, so CaptainBob managed to get a few votes.
So it WAS more than one person. THE MADNESS SPREADS.

I tried to be vague. It could have been one person, it could have been two, I'M NOT SAYING HOW MANY EXACTLY!

We've planned a meeting, but it won't be anytime soon.
DAMN.

Both of us are busy doing other things right now, so we agreed to try sometime next year.

Yep. I actually ended up at that Spore place just yesterday, independent of your linkage, though. I was looking at pics of HL2/TF2/Portal themed PC cases, and the PC case was a TF2 Engineer's dispenser. And in an article there was a link to a "dispenser spore creature" that someone made on that site.

Weirdness. O_o

Some people have made 'sporn' (Spore porn) and damn! They amuse themselves by making sexual-looking creatures?! Well, besides that, kudos to whoever made a Goatse spore. XD

More of a general vibe I get from some of the old guard. Joe and ramagi, for instance, both said they never wanted to be voted into the membership. I know we're talking about regularhood here and not membership, but... eh, same diff, really.

Well, all except one IMO, but I'm not naming anyone.
Everyone's insecurity: "OH SHIT, HE MEANS ME."
LOL yes. But maybe, that person isn't too bothered. XP

::::shrugs:::

Wow...

1. Kingdom of Heaven - So boring, so lame, I'm a sad git to remember the name of this crap.

I thought that was supposed to be good. I must be confusing the title with something else.

2. Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within - The only thing relevant to FF is someone called Cid.

That wasn't that bad. It wasn't that good, either. But it wasn't that bad. You were expecting a movie as fun as a FF game, apparently. How could a movie EVER be as fun as a GOOD video game, eh?

3. I Am Legend - What I've explained here.

You really didn't explain what was wrong with it, though. O_o

4. The Simpsons Movie - I know there'll be those who disagree with me, but to me, this film is absolute crap. This contains the worst "joke" of all time known as Spiderpig. Such a fucking lame joke and I'm appalled at how popular it became. Another thing, the plot was just bland.

Yeah, it was a bit bland. Pacing wasn't bad, though. It was "okay."

Vastly inferior to BBS, though. Too bad it didn't go direct to video and let BBS have a moment on the silver screen last year. ;_;

5. Red Dragon - I expected to see dragons in this film, not some human douchebag who just says "I am the dragon." Also, it was boring as fuck.

I haven't seen it, either. So... I only truly disagree with you on #2 and #4, which I have. #;-}>

Neither of which merits inclusion on any greatest movies list, no matter the qualifications/judged attributes/etc.... and no matter the genre it's limited to...

But neither of which belongs in the scrapheap of a "top 5 worst movies ever," either... come on, man. That's a bit overly harsh to the somewhat lame FF and Simpsons movies. ;_;

Well, I actually haven't seen OR read I, Robot, but I know the critical consensus about it.

Hell, it sounds great compared to how Legend and Hancock are getting panned, though.

But anyway, I'm a big Asimov fan from his short stories and from his Foundation books, which I have read EVERY single one of, so even though I haven't read his Robots books... I can safely say the movie didn't do it justice. How could it?

XD

Yeah. I ended up on a Spore youtube vid the other day, and then I saw a big spore penis dancing around. :::eyeroll:::

I can't see myself spending money on that particular game. Free webgame version of it? Sure. But... paid version coming out in September or whenever? Hell no.

Haggard's already paired up with Bahamut in the master bedroom, NEVR's apparently called dibs on 36 now downstairs... Coop and me are shagging in the back broom closet...

You know how we roll.

NOW.... EVERYBODY SWITCH!

He NEEDS to get voted next election. At least gfox will vote on him, so that's one guaranteed point. TIME TO ANSWER QUESTIONS LIKE CRAZY, 36!!!

Hello my FRENDS I am checking to see if I have been voted off. If I see any mutiny afoot you will star in my coming of the ages full length Full 1080p HD Blu-Ray feature motion picture SWAP P41n. The FCC has 4 outstanding warrants for my arrest, countless cease and desist letters. Not to mention on the FBI's top internet watchlist. Yes I think suicide is funny and I am sick of pretending its not.

Comments:

Congrats to shunshuu on gaining over 2k total points since the last update.

I'd say this has been a great update. There were a lot of great potentials this time around, which makes up for that disappointing July update.

Another thing, a few of you regulars apologised to me via PM for being 'late' to send the votes, but none of you were actually late. Sure, you didn't reply on the day you got the message, but really, you usually get around 10 days to vote, so you can take as much time as you want. No need to apologise for replying a few days after I send out the messages.

I was talking to him on AIM at the time.

Sorry, but I had to vote for other people.

Good, good. ;)

Still haven't voted. I'm in doubt this month, oh jeez.

Hell, I thought this month had many great potentials.

No problems this time and I was able to check through all the threads this month. Therefore, a Potentials List was made. :)
Thanks for it, Bahamut!

You're welcome.

Well, August or September, so it could happen sometime this month. Whichever month we'll do it, I'll see what the others think.

Ah yes. Is there really a direct relationship between # of users posting in this topic and participation in the monthly regulars' vote, though?

No, not really.

1. Kingdom of Heaven - So boring, so lame, I'm a sad git to remember the name of this crap.
I thought that was supposed to be good. I must be confusing the title with something else.

The title sounds epic, but the film is not epic at all, just bland. If anyone's going to see any movies, I better do some research on the film before going blindfolded. I'm not always like that since if I didn't see the trailer for Hancock, I would have assumed it to have been a gay porn movie. :P

I was expecting it to be relevant to Final Fantasy, but no, the only thing relevant to the series was some fucking guy named Cid. That's just dumb. I bet the film had a completely different title at first, but then they thought about adding Final Fantasy to the title for attention grabbing.

3. I Am Legend - What I've explained here.
You really didn't explain what was wrong with it, though. O_o

I thought I did, but anyway:

-The setting is New York run down. Not an interesting setting at all.
-The "scary" parts were cliché and predictable as fuck. If I wasn't with my family, I would have walked out of the cinema after the first stupid make you jump part. (Then again, I wouldn't walk out of a cinema if I was with my friends either. I mean, when Superbad made references to Star Wars and MySpace, I was thinking about walking out then.)
-Besides the shitty "scary" parts, the film was mostly silent.
-The sudden appearances of the two other characters didn't make sense.
-The action sequences were dull.

I'll give the movie something. It was better than the last few shitty seasons of The Simpsons.

Vastly inferior to BBS, though. Too bad it didn't go direct to video and let BBS have a moment on the silver screen last year. ;_;

Oh yeah, have you watched The Beast with a Billion Backs yet?

Neither of which merits inclusion on any greatest movies list, no matter the qualifications/judged attributes/etc.... and no matter the genre it's limited to...

Sadly, there are those that claim The Simpsons movie to be the "greatest movie ever". I might have considered it as one of the best movies of all time if they released the fucking movie 10 years ago and didn't add any bullshit "humour" like Spiderpig.

But neither of which belongs in the scrapheap of a "top 5 worst movies ever," either... come on, man.

OI!!

Well, I actually haven't seen OR read I, Robot, but I know the critical consensus about it.

Hell, it sounds great compared to how Legend and Hancock are getting panned, though.

I just hope the majority of the Hancock haters just have a problem with the second half of the movie and not the film overall. Seriously, how can you knock a bum superhero?

Some people have made 'sporn' (Spore porn) and damn! They amuse themselves by making sexual-looking creatures?! Well, besides that, kudos to whoever made a Goatse spore. XD
Yeah. I ended up on a Spore youtube vid the other day, and then I saw a big spore penis dancing around. :::eyeroll:::

Whoever made that is a sad git.

Finally, you said something positive about blue! :D
Dude. I've always said blue was my second fave aura after green on the old NG, and third fave after green and gray on the new NG.

So for you, it's green > blue > grey > red > pink. Where did yellow/gold go again?
