Who shall i believe Ninja chicken or toast? I think i belive Ninja chicken because he's older so he probably knows more. Therefore he's more likely to know who made the game and he says he did. Therefore ninja chicken made the game. It's obvious that toast just hacked his computer and stole the file before ninja chicken had a chance to post his version on this thread. That explains how toast managed to post it on page 2 befroe ninja chicken!!!

I've got a problem...my code is fucking up.The Syntax is fine,but everytime I hold down A and Left/Right at the same time,it goes to the frame,but just stops the MC in the frame and moves my guy from Left/Right to Right/Left without the walk animation and attack animation playing...here is the code.

I did apologise but I still think it went too far. It was the most crappy prank I have ever had.
It could end happily if everything you did would be hosting that game, "getting" teh monneh from Inglor, and say it was a prank.

Okay, what you should do is have like:
(if your attack animation is 6 frames long)
frame 4-10 = Stand still attack.
Frame 11: gotoAndStop(1);
(if your walk + attack animation is 4 frames long)
Frame 12 - 15 = Walk + Attack.

heres what i have done.

you get a mc, go in to the mc, put 4 mc's in it. each one being a attack of some kind. instance name them "combo1, combo2...etc...etc"

then put this script on the mc-

onClipEvent(mouseDown){
if(this._currentframe == 1){
this.gotoAndStop("combo1");
}
if(this._currentframe > 1 && this._currentframe < 3){
this.gotoAndStop("combo2");
}
if(this._currentframe > 2 && this._currentframe < 4){
this.gotoAndStop("combo3");
}
if(this._currentframe > 3 && this._currentframe < 5){
this.gotoAndStop("combo4");
}
}

when i do this, he just keeps playing the same animation.

the things i dont understand
- When you've put all the 4 animations into the MovieClip, make sure every animation has the amount of frames that it actually contains.
????? whats that meant to mean? of course its going to have the amount of frames it actually contains.

ive made the 1st frame of the mc a mc of the guy standing, i assume thats okay? seeing as when i take him away nothign different happens.

when you say " Name the first frame of every animation "combo1","combo2", etc..." do you mean to name the mc? or do you mean to name the first frame within the mc of the movement?????

You need to leave x frames (no keyframes) for every MC, x = the number of frames each mc takes to play entirely. Then, on the last frame of the "x" frames you left, make a keyFrame and put the following code on the frame's AS:
gotoAndStop(1);

so ill tell you what i have done.

on frame one, i have a mc.

with in that mc are

frame 1- is stop script and a stance mc with the code you gave adjusted to-

}

on frame 2-8 is a mc, on frame 9 is a keyframewhich has this script - gotoAndStop(1);

i have the same thing on frames, 10-16, 17-24 and 25-32. each is the same lenght as the animation which resides with in the mc, each one has a keyframe after which has this script - gotoAndStop(1);

the frist frame of each of these animations (2,10,17,25) has a frame lable (combo1, combo2....etc....etc...)

Exactly, and on the fifth frame have:
gotoAndStop(1);

No, it's the frame label. Go to the frame you need to label, CLICK the current frame in the main timeline, go to propeties, and type "combo1" where you see that textbox.

One frame one you should have a stop action and a standing still animation.
