Advance Wars Crew

This crew is for all fans of the magnificent series by Intellegent Systems and Nintendo. Battalion Wars is included, even though it was made mainly by Kuju, it was originally 'Advance Wars-Under Fire'.

To answer a common statement, Advance Wars is extremely similar to the Fire Emblem game series, that's because they're both made by Intellegent Systems!

The rank system goes as an army-similar system-

Rules-

First and foremost- No flame wars. Even hinting involvement in a flame war could get your rank decreased by three, and it's hard to receive a promotion in this club. Don't flame.

Second, no picture spamming. If you include an unessesary pic with your request to join, you won't be joining, and no second chances. I only want members who are intellegent enough to read the damn rules.

Third, no anti-nintendo shit. Take hating outside the crew.

Fourth, and final, there shall be no User vs User bad relations here. That means you, outsiders. Spamming is part of this, so no spamming either.

Inform me if there is a working club on AW, with a link. I searched, and I didn't find one.

First question to start off, what AW games have you played, and what do you think is the best unit?

Advance Wars
Battalion Wars

I'm intending to get the Dual Strike, though. I think the best unit is Rockets, for places with no air or sea units. Stick them in the back of a tank formation, you can counterattack like nothing else.

ill join. the only one i havent got is aw1 'cos you cant get it anywhere 'cept ebay and amazon anymore, but my brother has it and he occationally lets me borrow it. im on mission #?: enigma, and he hasnt let me go on it recently. my favorate character is eagle. i also have bw and i am stuck on the level where you have to capture 3 flags in the necrocite fields in dune sea.

Anyways, the thre of you who joined, shall be my Commanding Officers (In other words, the 'mods' of this club). Not because you all joined first, but because you all seem to have that quality about you.

And Orange, you want to bet Colin is the best? His units are cheap, true, but they're also weak. Kanbei could kick his ass if there were no bases, and just preset units.

Hell, I think anyone could assrape Colin, except for Sami and Sonja, the former only if you induce a mech flood.

What? colin is best? as kuroi said anyone could assrape him, exept sonja and sami, but i think sami would in any occasion, and sonja is definately crap, i dont get her powers. c'mon extended sight range and hidden health points? rubbish.(exept in fog)
Hatchi is second to eagle in my opinion and he has very similar powers to colin, but better.
His sister (sasha) could kick more ass with a handbag, than colin in a bomber!

Does any body no what Jugger looks like in alt uniform?
i know what hawke looks like, he looks gay - purple, extremely tight t-shirt? what else is he?

im stuck on mission #?: surrounded (Hard mode) in aw : ds and always get thrashed after 4 days.

best unit is mech. they can do anything, the little guys!

Yeah, i love mechs. The best tag team (in my opinion) is a tie between kanabi and colin, and the other pair has to be eagle and sami. God, i love taking three turns in a row, and capturing the enemy's HQ in one turn.

Too true, but the hard thing is to get their meters up AND get eagle in front. the only thing about that is its very bad for sea missions. i also like "REP-AIR " when you get a andy and eagle combo, or hawke and andy combo 'cos thaey repair everything and hawke's
co powers kicks asses.

Well, I just beat Kanbei three times and now I'm facing Sonja...I beat her with Max, facing her with Sami now. Kanbei has one fucking bitch of a daughter.

I shouldn't have played Olaf's Sea Strike level. Facing Sonja so I can use Kanvei against Sturm is good, but Olaf might hurt my strategy.

yeah. i've never liked fog of war. Unfortudently, i've never played to first one (i know, i know), but i have played the other two. I heard battlion wars on the gamecube wasn't very good, so just decided to pass on it.

Well, I beat Sturm once again, this time with Olaf and Kanbei. I unlocked Drake and Sonja for purchase, but Sonja was more expensive than Drake. WTF?

Well it's not very hard to make a forum. I'm the leader of a Runescape clan, and we had a forum. The only problem is that ever since school started again, most of the clan members left. I was the main designer for the forum, and i wouldn't mind doing another one. I'm only going to do it if this club really hits it off, though.

I used to play advance wars a lot, but i've sort of fallen out of it. In my opinion, that battle mode is pretty much worthless, and shouldn't have been included in the game at all.
Also, the multiplayer would be kind of good, but it's slow waiting for the other human players to move. Takes like 1 hour on a small map.

Who's your best CO? Mines either Hawke or Andy. Maybe Grit or Sami in certain situations.

Anyways, I own all the games. And all the CO's and strategy Guides for them. I'm still in the process of buying Battalion Wars, but from what I heard, it's pretty good.

Also, I'm wondering what different ranks do, and what you have to do to achieve them. (Private, Private 1st Class, Seargant, Etc.) I know i'm a CO, but i would just like to clarify what these postions mean.

I was thinking that these ranks are awarded by either the Comander or the CO's.

I also think that CO's should act as the "moderators" of the forum.

Anyone else please reply with any thoughts on this, or any thoughts of your own.

Sorry to double post, but an idea just came to me. I have a way to increase the activeness of this thread (It seems fairly slow, but i'm comparing it to all the threads.) Anyway, if we could find some video game emulators with online capabilities, we could have matches of Advance Wars. It would make this group more fun.

If anyone can find a good emulator for the GBA with multiplayer, i have a place to get the AW 2. The reason i don't do Dual Strike is because i heard that most DS Emulatiors are not very good.
