Sorry I'm a bit late, busy as usual.

This weeks topic: Hipple
Topic suggested by PandaMime. :)

This one is a little different from past topics, but you just draw the first creature-thing that pops in to your head when you read the word Hipple.

Rules:
- No MsPaint
- No Animals
- No Human Likeness
- Only one finished entry per User
- Make a description for your creature
- Only JPEG format is allowed
- Create NEW art, don't post something old you've made
- Take time on your art, terrible artwork will not be accepted in the votingthread

Good topic this week, maybe next week the opposite? Instead of something that is interpretation we get given a strict brief, like..

"This creature was treated like a god in ancient china, it's thin, stream-line body allowed it sprint around quickly.. blah blah"

But then it isn't our concept, it'd be our vision of what this creature would like look.. I don't know, it could work.

I figured I'd search for Hipple and look up the "Did you mean x" to find the definitions for similar words

I couldn't really find anything else apart from the obvious Hippie and Hippo, I don't know if I'll try and tie in something I find or just go with making a creature to match the name. Either way, someone might find this useful..

My vote goes to Razac, my first time voting for you, usually I'm more critical towards your work than other peoples because you're clearly capable of great things, like the first time you took part your creature was hidden behind a moutain peak and even though it looked good it was bad presentation of the creature.

I think this week you've got it spot on though, I find it very difficult to get the underwater look, you've got the lighting, tones and focus perfect. Your creature is very believable and realistic, I love the muscles on the side of the jaw, really shows the power it has. It looks scary too, you chose a great stage in the attack, where the shark isn't aware what's about to happen, the other fish are quickly swimming away and you get to see these huge sharp teeth.

As for criticisms, the eye on the left seems to be in the wrong place, that's if the face is meant to be symmetrical, and maybe some of the moving blurred fish should have been erased from places like the mouth and the nose?

I was going to comment on other peoples work to, but I'm bored of typing, so if anybody's after c+c this week, just ask and I'll try and help out!

The point is that a Hipple doesn't exist, you're creating a creature for that name. So think of things you would relate to the word and develop a creature from that, for example I can't imagine a Hipple being a ferocious beast, it just doesn't fit.

Note:Im 14 so dont expect too much out of me :p and I was going for cartoonish, not real in anyway..

Hipple: A two headed creature, with four arms. One face resembling a hippo, the other a cyclops that is slightly retarded, The hipple is deemed incompitant and has been chased down into the sewers where it feeds off waste.
