Cool. What program did you use?
This explosion was done in LW9.
you made a... glass... blob?
i love just taking default objects and messing with materials.
gotta say tho... if your just playin around in, mental ray {?}, might wanna play with more settings (colors, refraction, lighting). contrast is your friend!
(nice explosion dawnsiebugg)
yeah it was made in blender, you gotta have it large for proper effect, i was just messin round with the negative effects although i did make another one that looks much better it just couldn't finish rendering.

Lol, then congratulate your computer for me
not bad. you could have rendered the hair strands rather than just texturing the hair
im no 3d artist,...i think that s pretty good.
how much do these 3d things cost?

alot... unless you use the major site's 30 day trials...

The hair IS rendered!! it took like 20 min to render all that.
The only texture in there is the skin

LOOOOONG time
Hey this looks good exept, she looking kinda old here XD
this was the last thing i was working on in 3d
A 3D model version of myself that I did for my last 3D class of college.

Nothing if u use blender 3D, you'll find it on www.blender.org, legitimate and open source. as good as a lot of proper programs out there

quite good the style is nice, and its well designed
come on NG peoplez theres gotta b more 3D artists here! Photoshoppers allowed
this is old.
its a low-Poly soldier for a possible mindchamber game.

in that case well done. the whole pictures IS very good nevertheles. But i still think you could have done the eyebrows as actual hairs rather than a texture and the hair is a little jagged in some places, make it smoother a bit, say increase the polys

Yeah, I could have made the eyebrows hair strands..... but i'm too lazy -_-;
Yeah the hair is jagged, each hair has only about 20 joints.. i'm still kinda a noob at rendering hair. This model is actually my first attempt at it, after watching a basic video tutorial.
here's another angle:
This is a little siege tower I made for an Age of Empires mod. Not great, but it ain't too bad for a first time even if I say so myself. Also done in Blender by the way.

very good for a begginner, in fact the new angles brings it out much better. Its very much like hair now.

its alright, but im sure you can imrove the textures somewhat without decreasing the performance hit, it looks better that way.

And abstract render.
It's ok, nothing really amazing though.
