This is the Grindcore Gore Pit

This will be the official club made for the genre of music known as Grindcore or to many of you as just grind. This is a the Grindcore Dot Com and for any other information on the genre of music this is the Wikipedia, which is always a good source of information on anything you don't know about.

Before Clubs

A Grindcore Club was created with very little structure by a user who does not post here anymore. Then a club was made called Grindcore which was requested locked by the creator as he thought it was going no where.

Grindcore, what is it?

Grindcore is a genre of music made off of Crust Punk and Death Metal, many may think its like metal but it is different on many different ways. In grind, they tend to use Vox not Vocals, Vox is a trype of growling and if you don't know what that is, its a type of deep throat singing. Vox is sometimes a controlled belching like in the band Vomit Erection then they can do a pig squeal like Pigsty then they can do a type of gargling an example would be Cock and Ball Torture.

Rules:

1) Follow Regular Bbs Rules
2) No Flaming and arguing over petty differences
3) You may listen to other genres of musics, and still be aloud to join
4) If Anal Cunt is the only thing you've heard, listen to something else

I'll tell ya, one of my friends who knows more about Grind then I do, got pissed off at me for calling it Guttural Vocals, and told me to call it Vox, as he told me that when I say Vox for grind it be obviously be known to Guttural Vocals, then he hit me :(

this genre of music sounds very interesting--ive never heard of it before, though--but looking at the names of the artists you fellows have exampled, I'm willing to guess that this music revolves around excessive swearing and rather adult themes.

Is this true? I am asking because I have no way to listen to music "privatley", per se, so if I'm playing something it can't be outright excessive cursing, if you know what I mean.

It's about pushing the boundaries of music, by way of destroying them. It's usually short, aggressive, has little apparent structure, and is focussed more on heaviness than anything else.

It's hard to define, actually. It doesn't have audible bad language in. It's the epitome of metal or punk or punk metal or something, it's about as heavy and inaccessible as you can get. The song titles and band names are usually obscene, as are the 'themes' of the music and the 'lyrics', but it's not like you can tell.

Wouldn't imagine your parents will be massive fans, really, unless they're metalheads.

Yeah, but if you scared of your parents understanding them, alot of Goregrind bands inhale when they sing so they'll have trouble understanding them.

Thats alright, I just started the club, I never said I was going to run it, I only implaced the rules so that it wouldn't be chaos.

I know Napalm Death helped pioneer it, but I've only been into Grind for about two years (i think around there) so I don't know as much as some.

As for suggestions, check out the Swedish band Regurgitate.

Maybe you should try GUT and Lord Gore, except GUT starts of songs with like a prologue story, and it kinda annoys me.

However, I am a huge fan of Korn, and I found a song of theirs called Twist. It is rather short--51 seconds--and is composed near entirely of absolutley inelligible singing. I have absolutley no idea what he is saying.
If anyone else has heard it, woulfd they say that that is what Grind sounds like?
