Main Structure

Hello there ladies & gentlemennnnnnn!

Welcome to the Rock Band club (v2) because the original topic was strangely removed during the night for reasons unknown, not even any sign of telling us why it was removed, just vanished. But, I'm not going to give up on it so easy because this place is not doing anything wrong, apart from competition.

So as we start the topic again, I'll just go over a few things again.. this place is devoted to Rock Band fans and Rock Band fans only. If you play Guitar Hero, that's fine.. but there IS a club for specific Guitar Hero fans. Now as with all other clubs, there is rules.. and here they are simple.

Rules & Guidelines

* You must own a copy of Harmonix's Rock Band games, it can be any, just make sure it's Rock Band and not Guitar Hero, sometimes people can make these obvious mistakes. ;)

* No spamming or trolling the club thread, this is for mature Rock Band discussion, the last thing we need is people coming in telling us to play real instruments because well.. most of us do.

* Have a mature and deep conversation, you may post about Guitar Hero but ONLY in comparison, if you have any Rock Band achievements they may also be posted in here because this is a place for all RB discussion!

So I've been helping my bitch (AKA Kirsty) get some FC's on some of her favourite songs and I did the best I could on them all, but for fucks sake why does she have to like Judas Priest so much, plus she wants money so she can buy more clothes.. *sigh*

Some developers and speakers from harmonix talked at my school today. It's a really interesting and complicating process with how they put everything together.

Meh, My guitars broken and I use the GH3 guitar. The green and blue frets are a bit spazzy at times so its near impossible for me to get an FC anymore on expert. I beat vocals on expert which was easy..my bass drum broke...awesome...lol but I did just happen to FC Tom Sawer which really helped my confidence especially since my guitars broken! ya! lol.

Yeah they told us how they did Downloadable songs aswell, apparantly they already have them all lined up before bringing them out, so at present they've already got an entire months worth of DLC charted and waiting to be brought out, so they're always on the ball.

That's why Rock Band will always be superior to Guitar Hero, Neversoft/Activision just don't have enough time to do this because they've got a lot of really big games out there, whereas Harmonix don't have as many, so they have more time.

Rock Band rules, however unfortunately i can only do all songsa on Rock Band 1 on hard, and only a few on expert, but i can 4 star alot of the songs on hard vocally, and i can 5 star a couple on expert, and i got 98% On creep on vocals. :)
Ill get a screenshot next time i do it.
I like bringing up a mic stand and doing the guitar and vocals at the same time by myself. I can only do it to songs i know the lyrics to though. :)

hell yea lol. Although, I don't have the Harmonix mic, only the xbox mic. so I just wear it on my head. and play the guitar. And yea, I cant play songs I don't know the lyrics too either

that's sweet man, the headset is laggy when to picking up vocals, from experience.

i think i have a mic stand around somewhere, but on easy vocals and something like medium guitar, to make things easier ;)

No you can do the endless set list on medium, hard, or expert. I don't have enough friends who play rock band to even get to the endless set-list though.

But yea the headset is somewhat laggy when picking up sound, the best thing to do when singing in my opinion is go into the options, turn off the sound for everything and turn up the vocals to max. Its easier for me when I do that.

I've completed Band World Tour by myself because my sister isn't good enough for me.

I beat Endless Setlist on Expert Vocals and Expert Guitar, so it can be done.

you don't need a full band, you can just have between 1 and 4, one person if you're multitasking that is.

and i know you can do it on lower difficulties, but for an achievement whore like me, they're stackable, so it'll save time.

i could just do hard i guess.

Nice, but I just downloaded Afterlife by Avenged Sevenfold....wow...what a bitch of a solo.

My best solo run on that song was 84% so far. I'm working on 100% so I can be one of the few ( maybe the first ) to FC the song.

LOl you are all os good at this game i struggle on hard, tbh i though the single player mode on this game is very poor, why cant i do band world tour on solo, i mean i can sing a tthe same time but most the songs i dont know the lyrics.

Anyway do you know if shops like game allow you to trade in the instruments i want to upgrade them for RB2

Well, I heard rumors about being able to trade in RB for RB2 but nothing about the instruments.

But anyways, on Afterlife I hit 99% on a practice run on 50% lol. I do worse on a real run though, maybe Its cause of the pressure. But on a real run I hit 70% + and on practice runs I hit 80%+

its getting annoying lol.

Its not so much actually hitting the notes, its just the speed at which the notes * seem * to be coming at. The key difference between GH and RB is ( not only the instruments ) the size of the notes. You have so less of a chance of hitting fast notes on RB then you do on GH because RB has rectangles and GH has circles. The least RB could of done was make the hitting frame bigger....you have to hit right in the middle for it to work....

yeah, it was like this when harmonix made GH1/2, the timing window was pretty much spot on, unlike GH3 where you could practically hit the note after it rolled off screen.

you do get used to it though, really easily.

You do get used to it, but in extremely fast solo's like this, its nearly impossible. On a solo like this, its more about luck...one person has gotten a 100% on the entire solo and it was in practice mode, not the real deal.

If you think the single player mode is very poor on this game, I wouldn't even bother getting Rock Band 2, they've took the Solo Tour out completely.

If you think the single player mode is very poor on this game, I wouldn't even bother getting Rock Band 2, they've took the Solo Tour out completely.

Plus the reason I want to trade in my old controllers is becuase the new guitar looks 100 times better then the old one plus its wireless, i want to keep my drums and mic tho.
