I like this, even though it's crazy simple. the idea of an arena isin't rare but blocks against blocks in an arena is. I wan't some friends to come over now so I can play them. People should be able to play against the computer, or maybe online.
Showdown is a local multiplayer game meant to be played with friends. It's premise is simple; kill your opponent. That's it.
By local multiplayer, I mean two people use the same keyboard. Online multiplayer has yet to be implemented. (It's in early development)
*Note, the game is still in beta. Features will be added in the near future.
Controls:
P1: WASD, Q and E to shoot
P2: IJKL, U and O to shoot

Its a rare game
This is a 2 player game. You don't mention it in the desc. though, so people think it's an AI problem. You should write that or make a warning. Other than that, decent.
I probably should note that, thanks for pointing out that (obvious) mistake! Decent, good enough for me.
Maybe if the opponent would attack rather than sit idling it would be better.
You need to play with somebody. I have yet to implement online multiplayer.
This game certainly has a bright future. Right now, I can only see blocks and bullets when I play. But in my mind I see the potential for so much more. I see power ups, health bars, limited ammunition and punches. I see, moving maps, brighter colors, and newer, better graphics. This game is something that really peaked my interest, and I would love to see it really boost from its current state to an incredible front-page local 2-player combat game.
I hope this rad game makes it past the final Showdown.
Sincerely,
ProfessorX
Thank you very much! I created this game in my spare time after school, so that for the next day, my friends and I could procrastinate. I hope to expand it much more! As for the graphics, these are prime examples of programmer graphics. Thanks again!
