Reviews for ""R""

Excellent length.

That's probably the longest flash movie I've ever seen 0o. Very well written and everything. While the speech got a bit on the monotonous side, it was very insightful and informative. Great audio and hilarious events in the background. Funny ending and credits. This very much does Clockday justice. Great job and Happy Clockday :D

Da-Dinictus responds:

Ah, Darkmage. A good critic... You are right on the speech being boring to some, but, like I said, the ending was rewarding, was it not? I'm glad you still liked "R". A happy Clock Day to you too, Darkmage. Thanks for your review.

When ever life gets you down...

When ever life gets you down, and things seem hard or tough, and people are stupid, obnoxious or daft, and you feel that you've had quite enough...

Just remember that your standing on a planet thats evolving, and revolving at 900 miles an hour, thats orbiting at 19 miles a second, (so it's reconed), a sun that is the source of all our power. The sun and you and me, and all the stars that we can see, are moving at a million miles a day. In an hour I'll just follow along at 40,000 miles and hour, of the galaxy we call the Milky Way.

Our galaxy itself contains a hundred-billion stars, it's a hundred thousand light years side to side, it bulges in the middle, 16,000 light years thick, but out by us it's just 3000 light years wide. We're 30,000 light years from galactic central point, we go round every two hundred million years, and our galaxy is only one of millions of billions in this amazing and expanding universe!

The univers itself keeps on expanding and expanding, in all the directions it can wiz. As fast as it can go, the speed of light you know, 12 million miles a minute and that's the fastest speed there is.

So remember when you're feeling very small and insecure, how amazingly and likely is your birth! And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere out in space, cause there's BUGGER ALL DOWN HERE ON EARTH!!!!

;)

P.S. If you haven't heard this tune before, mail me and I'll send you the link. I have it uploaded on my site. Very nice flash, the characters wandering around in the background was funny. Good work on the philysophical stuff.

Da-Dinictus responds:

Ah, the Monty Python crew's "The Meaning of Life".
I was almost wondering when someone would pop up with the lyrics to that ^_^ Thank you for your feedback, Admiral. Dare I say that this song more or less conveys your oppinion on it all? Good choice. Happy Clock Day.

13 minutes goes by very fast when you are thinking

Excellent movie. I always do love to hear the philosophy of others and was surprised to find a philosophical movie in the NG portal. I learned something in school about Greek philosophy and religion and now i can comment about it :). I remember they believed in a story about how all of the emotions were accidently set free to the universe and the most dangerous one was said to be Hope.

Da-Dinictus responds:

Why, I do indeed recall that tale. I do not remember the details of it, but I'm glad you too wish to add to the added philosofical note to the Portal. Thank you for your kind words, and happy Clock Day.

13+ Minutes well spent!!

Beautiful speech. I wasn't expecting such deep thinking in a clock animation.

The time you spent on this movie shows! Poor Dini, animating the mouth in sync, frame-by-frame, for so long =P

Nice Graphics, Nice script, Nice animation & the comic relief at the end was well placed & very good.

I loved this ^_^

Ajajaja, And you put me in at the end!!! <3

Happy Clock day! You rock!

Da-Dinictus responds:

Yush. And Rynn too. Glad you liked it, friend Leek. You really helped on the audio-sync. Happy Clock Day. And great job on the Cosmonauts-movie. Very smexxay. ^_^

Survey Says...

Though it is true that hope is what drives most folk, I personally find that only the POSSIBILITY of a better tomarrow to not be full enough. In my life, I seek knowledge. To truely know what is, that is the ultimate goal. Though surprises are often amusing and delightful, the also are the bringers of pain and suffering in the form of unforseen mishaps. By educating one self to the highest degree, he ca learn to recognise the patterns in the cycle of being, and use these cycles to predict the future. It is then that man's free will kicks in to allow him to alter the future's course to his whims and prove himself to be the master of his independent being and perceptions. One must break a cycle before he can ever conclude that process and learn its teachings.

Da-Dinictus responds:

A very different point of view. I like it. You reason well your stances, and I was hoping my movie would entice this kind of thoughts to be revealed and shared. Let it be known that NewGrounds doesn't merely contain 1337 children and bad stick animation, but also intellectual and kind users as well as talented artists. Happy Clock Day, and thank you for sharing your thoughts with us all.
