Whoa! This is a good movie...

What's the meaning of life? That's very deep, more so if it's from a cat w/ a clock on his forehand.

Yes, I agree w/ most of the movie, especially about hope. I totally think hope runs the universe, but who knows, we'll never know entirely. All I know is that there are many things we can do instead of wondering why we exist. Maybe there is a omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscience god who knows, and there's as much chance that one doesn't exist...

In conclusion, WATCH THIS MOVIE, NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Harsh_Tranquil plz read this

Although I'm sure your correct to presume that Flash is a poor way of supporting your ideas, instead of just listening to the quotes of random intellectuals why not try to listen to Da_Dinictus' message? Hope is the driving force of life, perhaps not the meaning of life but still something can be said for this message and I found it quite inspiring. Also I"m sure that even though this was nothing more than a joke, to mock intelligence, by flashing funny toons in the background, I still managed to find an inspiring tone to this cartoon. I wish flash was used like this more often so that it could be seen as an equal media

Da-Dinictus responds:

Thanks. Though I certainly did not try to 'mock' intelligence with this movie, merely adding a bit of comic relief to the easily bored or the patient, this movie did had the intention of sending a message, or at least to provoke other users to think over matters, and to share their views.
Thank you for your review, though. Glad you enjoyed "R".

Very well done

If you wish for my opinion, i dont have the time, or enough webspace for my words ;P.
for the vote, its an absolute 5.
but back to my opinion, well im writing a book, and it will have a sorta quick interpretation of my beliefs. ill let you know the name of the book when im rich and famous heh

Brilliant

Terrific. This movie is freaking terrific. The numerous cameos are great, and the ending is funny as hell. Even without either of those, this movie would still rock. Could we see a sequel?

At last, another person who can grasp these ideas.

I was very disappointed when I saw that you had only one other flash entry. This is simply an ingenious work into which many hours of thought obviously went. I intend to use every one of the 4096 characters I am allotted to adequately respond to this one of a kind piece.

First I wish to address the "talentless hacks" that have reviewed your work. I could have been entertained for days by the sheer stupidity, immaturity, and utter lack of an ability to string two coherent thoughts together by some of the reviewers. I find it baffling how a person could tell you that they have, "Eaten shit better than this movie." Even if said person had actually consumed feces, why would they then claim to have done so? This is one of the finest submissions to New Grounds, so why do people insist on flaming it? This is probably about as unanswerable a question as the one you pose to the viewer.

Now I will address the topic at hand. I must commend you on this superb piece. If it isn't the most intellectual 13.5 minutes I've ever heard, it's close to it. As one of the most intelligent people I have come across, I believe you will be able to relate to my contributions to your discussion.

I will begin with your discussion on fate. My view of fate is that events are indeed preordained. Surely we have choices in life though? Indeed, I believe we do, but that we have already made the choices and that the consequences following are set. I believe that if two people with the exact DNA and the exact same life experiences will react to the same situation the same way no matter how many times it were to happen. But does this not make life pointless? Perhaps it does, but does that not depends on one’s point of view? I believe that the point of life is to make your own mark on the world as you see fit, however small that mark may be. If one thinks life is pointless and decides to kill oneself, that’s one’s choice, and it is one that’s already been made, it just hasn’t happened yet. Of course there are always those “talentless hacks” that decide that they know more about life than everyone else and flame you for expressing your opinions. These are the people whose lives are truly pointless. That is my view of fate, put in relatively simple terms that even the jerks that flamed this movie should be able to understand. However, there are some who cannot grasp the fact that the meaning of life is only what you interpret it to be, and that that interpretation is the only correct one. What of these people, how can you explain the meaning of existence to them? Is it even possible to explain to someone their own beliefs? The truth is you cannot. In fact, their insisting on being fed an interpretation of the purpose of existence is their choice, which brings us back to where I began. It’s this kind of person that invented deities so they could have a purpose invented for them and they could feel secure about themselves.

The irony of all this is how do we even know that we even exist at all? Purpose does not matter if we do not exist. Is there any concrete proof? The answer is no, as anything we perceive as concrete cannot be proven to be so. But in the end it is our desire to explain our own purpose that makes us human, assuming we do exist at all. This desire to explain the unexplainable, to understand things not understandable, this is what makes us different from any other living beings. One is only intelligent if one realizes that meaning is really perception and that for everyone it is different. Also, one must realize that are indeed insignificant as individuals. To put this in perspective, imaging how heavy 6 billion feathers are compared to the weight of a single feather.

As my allotted space is nearly used, let me once more commend you. You are a symbol of the inquisitive nature of humans. I must also add that you have an impeccable grasp of the English language and the pronunciation of its words. Please e-mail me your thoughts at doke_un@yahoo.com. Keep up the good work.

Da-Dinictus responds:

Ah... taking care of flamers AND kindly sharing your thoughts and views. I like that ^_^
Another person with a preordained fate-view. Though interesting, and sadly most true as well, I do believe in free will and the ability to change one's currents. But only time'll tell, I do suppose.
Your view upon the insecure, that they have thought of deities and gods, and still clinging to them, is also interesting, and I do believe true. Though there are plenty of people who merely draw their strength and sollace from it, something I admire in true practitioners of the many different faiths, there are plenty of people who are just frightened by it too.
One stated Hope as Desire a long way back in the big pile of reviews for this picture. In my views, they are essentially the two opposites of one-another - similar to, say, Taking and Giving. But yes, it is true that seeking answers is what makes us, too, us mortal men.
Finally, a great thank you for your compliments on my English, as well as this very well thought out review. I thank you kindly, and I am happy you enjoyed "R".

Dini out.
