Hm. Shabby.
Well, it seems like you know what you're doing, but google videos has way better animations. Sorry to say, but pretty bad. If you blur the edges a lot more and put more layers, you can get a preetty decent lightsaber. Also, if you turn all slashes to a triangularish shape, you can get the regular lightsaber effect. Paint.net is really good for these kinda things.
ONE MORE TIP!
When the lightsaber is actually out, instantly switch to a stick, or something. This will tell you the exact size of the lightsaber, so you can get accurate results.
