Reviews for "CT: Fall of Guardia Part1"

Pretty cool.

The title screen was awesome! And don't be fooled by the first scene: it gets cooler. I noticed the author forgot to remove the alpha pixels on one of the images(In case you didn't know, you trace the bitmap before making it a symbol, then you delete the black. At least on mx 2004.) You did a good job. The ending was kinda sad, though.

I use swish ;)

Anyway thanks for the review!

What?!

There are soooo many discrepancies here that I can hardly name most of them in this limited space.
1. Taban had near nothing to do with time gates, much less anything concerning Magus.
2. That was the Guardia Castle Dungeon, not Magus's lair.
3. The epndant doesn't have any real magical properties, it just activates certain machines.
4. Frog can't use Life spells
5. Masamune can't have appeared in the dungeon simply because Frog was using the sword. At the very least, you could have done a recolour.
6. Nothing in this relates to Dalton or the Fall of Guardia in any form.

Vinstigator responds:

Like I said before, this was a rushed project. And it's a parody, so you should relax a little ;)

Good Idea, but executed poorly

The story, simply, doesn't make sense. While I do credit you for deciding to make a series to help gap the disappearance of Guardia between Trigger and Cross, there are a few things you should note, in both CT Canonology and your own Plotline.

1) Magus, if not killed by the heroes in the game, is revealed to be a "good" character. He's not evil, sure he's dark, but he's not pure evil. Like Hades in Greek Mythology, not evil, simply misunderstood. As Magus is alive in your movie, he shouldn't be that "evil." Also, the heroes are traveling through Time Gates, which were greatly weakened to the extent of not being able to be used at the end of CT.

2) There is no explanation why Magus cared why Taban (Lucca's father) was finding out about time gates, and why he stole the pendant (Which Crono/Marle still owned at the end of CT). Futhermore, there is no explanation why Lucca believed if they recaptured the pendant that Taban could be saved.

Perhaps you plan on answering those questions in your next episode, and stick to the canon a little better to. I liked it, but it was poorly devloped.

Vinstigator responds:

The thing is, this was a rushed project. It was for a flash duel I had with a former friend of mine (who is now considered my worst enemy). If I did make a sequel to this, I would spend more time on it. I'm glad you liked it. Check out my "FFVI: The Day After" series, I'm sure you'll enjoy that more since I concentrated more on the plot.

ummmm

i turned it off at the same part..im a HUGE fan and proud owner of chrono trigger. But,it wasnt all that good..srry man...and"Magus' Castle"....that wasnt his castle. That was the prison place after the trial....i appreciate you working on a flash series od Chrono Trigger....but ill just stick with the game

Vinstigator responds:

Watch Robo's Review Commentary. IT FUCKIN' OWNS OR YOUR MONEY BACK!!!!1

Wow

You turned my favorite game ever into one of the most depresing things I have ever seen in my life. I'm not gonna spoil anything but damn man, way to go.

Vinstigator responds:

Thanks. You should check out my FFVI: The Day After series, it's way better in terms of story.
