Reviews for "Saiyuki Opening"

Well drawn

Your images are all very well done. It appears you spent a long time on them. That said, the animation might benifit from a little improving. It works, and was fine, but perhaps more movement would help. Like when the character's busts are shown with the full figure in the back, the figure could be moving/fighting/something. (Also I don't really like credits that give props to 'me'). Just a thought- nice job all around though.

josh-tamugaia responds:

But I guess that's good for my work that is years back! Thanks Chicken!

.

It was alright. I think that this would be a good intro for a series involving these guys. And remember a little bit goes a long way. I saw you had two frames for the movement of a lot of things, don't be afraid to throw a few extra in to make it smoother. Also, at the end the ground was movie but the guys weren't walking, you could have easily fixed that because they were all shadows

That's because... wait, I've got a reason for that. I forgot because I did it late 2003, that time I wasn't as good as I was now... I lost the .fla file... "sob"

VERY UNORIGINAL!

Hmmm! Lets see now, Monkey, Pigsy, Sandy and Tripitaka were these not characters from the old CLASSIC JAPANESE show, "MONKEY". I think so. Nice Graphics and sound but 0 for originality.

josh-tamugaia responds:

Everybody is using it. DBZ (Goku), Gensomaden Saiyuki (Goku, Sanzo), but the original guy who wrote it was Wu Cheng'En from China during the Tang Dynasty. the old CLASSIC JAPANESE show MONKEY also stole the idea from Wu Cheng En. But it's really OK. Saiyuki is just like, say, Cinderella! YOu really think I'd do this without research?!

thats'a nice'a intro :)

very nice stuff, im looking forward to it already! haha. your skills in flash come shining through in this opening, but next time when you're making credits, how about using your name in place of the word 'me' everwhere, eh? hahah.
anyway, the graphics are very detailed, the animation is basic at this stage but fluent, and the music went well with the mood of the intro. its looking good thus far. keep it up.
7/10
(THE THUMB: UP!!)

josh-tamugaia responds:

The me me me thing was kinda like a joke... haha.
Thanks marcus. I've got 3 thumb ups from you already!!

Hmm, nice opening credits.

I'm not going to write a proper review as this does appear to only be the opening credits, so i'm going to threaten you instead.
There better be an actual series to go along with this because if there isn't then what you have done is risen my hopes and then trod them into the dirt.
If there's no series... well, i can't actually threaten you as i'm sure that that's against the ng rules, so pretend that i have and it's quite unpleasant and stuff.
If there is a series... hurry up i want to see it!

josh-tamugaia responds:

OK, maybe I stressed on it too much as opening credits. It's not actually an opening credits to ANY series, just a movie clip, more like a music video, and it has some opening credits style.
I mean, do you see "Thank You for watching" after opening credits? Duh!
