A Tremendous Endeavor
It is true that there beauty in simplicity. The design of the game is pretty straightforward with none of the twisting, heart stopping moments which we have all come to love and expect in a shooter or adventure game.
This game revels in its simplicity. The music was well chosen and the graphics, though unsophisticated, complemented the gameplay tremendously. My only complaint would have been the controls, which got a little sticky at times. Whether that is the fault of my computer or the game, I am unsure.
Nonetheless, it is a game that I could spend many hours playing, again and again. It harkens back to the days of Super Mario World, where whizbang effects aren't necessary to create a great and compelling game.
