Reviews for "S. Ninja Mario Ep. 0"

There are no words for this

There's not much to say as I completely agree with Dyram_blade. I loved the song in the ending... is it from Utena? Can't wait to see how the story continues.
The bad points: The mario you did in the transformation had the proportions of a rather thin person and a clampish-sad face, but Mario's fat and smiley!

Shuko responds:

Lol. That was almost poking fun at the movie itself. XP I was hoping to make it look like I was really taking it all seriously, and the buff, lean Mario was all part of the joke. :) When I put him in there like that, it's really more for silly drama than anything else. :) I particularly liked the stark contrast you get when he's all big and buff in that scene, and then suddenly he's that short, chubby little guy. :P But you're right. Mario REALLY shouldn't look that way. :)

Good Job, one of the best I've seen yet.

Wow, dude.. I know you did a long and good job on this. The way you used Flash was incredible, you thought of everything, the sound did fit in the story, the storyline is great. I had the fealing it whould take hours. And I hope it will, I surely can't wait to see the next episode, GOOD JOB. A 9, deserved.

Shuko responds:

Thank you, but I really don't think my flash skills can compare with most of the artists on the portal nowadays. :) I'm still a newbie in nearly every sense of the word, and it's been hard going learning Flash. But this whole thing has taught me a lot, and I hope to use it all when I move on to "real" animation and action scenes. :) Thanks for the review!

Amazing!!

One of the best Mario flashes I have ever seen. Only one problem, the sound that is heard when they talk in annoying. You should get voices.

Shuko responds:

Yeah, some people like it and some don't. :) I thought it had more of an oldschool feel that way. I could hire voice actors and imitate the mouth movements, but it wouldn't feel like the games as much that way...

Still, I may do it in future versions. I'm almost tired of those sounds too. And it takes a lot to insert 'em in there! >=P

*drool*

OMG! That was hands down the best flash created by a non godly flash animator! (e.g. Randy Solem, Paul Ter Voorde, etc.) The animation was little jerky at parts but that could just be my comp. I'm in suspense and all now I wont be able to sleep without thinking of Ninja Mario!

Shuko responds:

Heheh. Thanks. :) Just don't go dreaming any "odd" dreams, if you know what I mean! ^o^

That was incredible.....

Wow. This is by far one of the best flash animations that I have every seen. It's a great storyline, and it's nice and long. Heh. I didn't want it to end so I'm glad it went as long as it did. I can't wait to see all the others in this series. Your use of sprites is fantastic, and I really got into all the characters. You did a great job with character development, and I like how the text made noise instead of being bland text that pops up. You obviously put a lot of thought and effort into the development of the story for this first episode and it really shows. Fantastic job. This is definitely going as one of my favs. Keep up the awsome work!

Shuko responds:

Yeah, I've actually been a little TOO obssessive about it. >_> I've got the next couple of episodes already all planned out. But in any event, I appreciate the review! :D
