Reviews for "Flash Tetris"

good one

this is a pritty good game
i like tetris and ya can change it very much unless u make it have guns and explosions or some shit but over all i think u made it really well

Good work, but you can not call that tetris

If you pay attention to actual tetris you'd know that its 10 squares wide. All tetris games are 10 wide. Another tetris rule that you didnt follow would be that when the piece hit another piece or the bottom, they instantly stop. In tetris you can rotate and move a piece even after it has touched withing a certain time limit. I'm sure you've heard of the problems of the blocks fusing together if you run them into eachother sideways. I know some of these problems you could not get around, so with the restrictions you worked under good job.

Ok

To the guy before me, you can make the blocks go faster by holding down the down arrow key. The other problems you mentioned must be your computer, because everything worked fine on mine.

A mediocre flash, it's been done before, but the controls were a bit offm a function to flip the block on the last row that is in most tetris games was not here, and made it much harder.

Be more original. 5 outta 10.

Been done better, but this was nice.

Very solid game, I liked it.
However there are some things I dont like.

First and foremost is the background, if the grid had vertical stipes of blue/red or even just light grey or dark grey it would do a wonder for letting the person know if they have the piece in the right row.

Also is you neglected a tetris mainstay of showing the next piece

The random start location of the next piece is a nice touch, though, good work.

Boooo.

Nice test for learning Actionscript. It works, at least, as long as I played it (not long.)

This is possibly the worst, most innacurate port of Tetris ever. There are plenty for Flash. Yours is in the lower ranks. You didn't even color the pieces right. I don't think the height/width was correct, the tiles moved slow as fuck. It didn't display where they'd land at the bottom (which rocks), and it didn't move smoothly. Not to mention you had to bash down to get it to go anywhere.

WAY TOO SLOW! Horrible, annoying, high pitched music made it even worse.

Keep up the Actionscript work, just... try to play your game a bit before you post it. Just cause you wrote some mad code doesn't mean it's fun.
