Reviews for "Flip8 Redux: an emulator"

snes!!!!!

It's alright and all but...
These look like there from the '70s man!
I didn't find it fun to be honest with you

Is it possible to put SNES games on here?

Newsdee responds:

Well, most of the games in the *ARE* from the '70s. Others were made in the 90s (for a calculator). As for SNES games, no. Technically possible, but it would take a lot of time and won't run fast enough anyway. So not worth it.

ok so its ment to have lots of games in one?????

well for me its too complicated and whats a debugger
and seriously a 13 page instructions
sorry but yeah

Newsdee responds:

The games have been simplified from the original form, so that most games use the arrow keys and space bar. The 'instructions' are more an explanation of what's happening behind the scenes, you can skip them if you want.

Good, but not a MAME replacement

While this can't hold a candle to MAME, I will give it some credit for being a very flexible & versatile flash game series.

There are some issues the code that could have been pounded out to make some of the game work better, but it's pretty good as is & impressive that most of the work is done purely in Actionscript.

I'd like to see how well you can make a single flash game with graphic that are more suitable to today's expectations.

Newsdee responds:

If you want nicer graphics, try my little API game 'Babeball':

Wow...

The amount of action-scripting involved... must be the equivalant of the ENTIRE Harry Potter series... Great work, VERY impressive.

Newsdee responds:

Thankfully it didn't need as much code as that... :-)

nice

good work, like it, maybe you can more? I would like another one with diffdernt games to choose from, but very good

Newsdee responds:

The thing is that this has all the known Chip-8 games into it... so something with different games would have to be another system. Maybe some day.
