Reviews for "Flip8 Redux: an emulator"

Well...

It had some interesting games, but the animation is really choppy, which makes playing not fun. What's the FPS? 4? That's too low.

Fix that and I will be happy.

Newsdee responds:

Try changing the emulation speed by going to the "debug" panel and click on "FSKIP".
Speed varies depending on the game as well (depending on how complex it is).

Fantastically made but...

it would have been better if the graphics didn't blink to buggery.(or maybe that's just my pc)

Newsdee responds:

That's not a bug, it's a feature (it's from the original system ;-)

Is this a "real" emulator but writen in AS??

If that is the case, cool! Else, lol.. 8 in style for the nice touch tho..

Newsdee responds:

Yes, it is real.
Even better, I've released the code as open source. You can see it here:
http://svn.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.cgi/flip8/trunk/

snes!!!!!

It's alright and all but...
These look like there from the '70s man!
I didn't find it fun to be honest with you

Is it possible to put SNES games on here?

Newsdee responds:

Well, most of the games in the *ARE* from the '70s. Others were made in the 90s (for a calculator). As for SNES games, no. Technically possible, but it would take a lot of time and won't run fast enough anyway. So not worth it.

not great but nor bad

i think that if you had more games that were known to our time like mario (NES) or something that would really bring out the game... other than that i like what you put into it. Just more games that are not so low
