Could use some work....
Overall, a decent game, but there were some noticeable flaws, first of all, though it started quite well, the linear method the game was played made it seem repetitive and boring, in addition, though there was alot of potentially deep plot points, they were all neglected, for what seemed like an incredibly rushed cliffhanger ending.
Which in itself, while not terrible, was out of the blue, no real lead up....suspense, or such.
The gameplay itself, was incredibly simple, though thats not nessecarily a bad thing, combined with the short duration, rushed finish, lack of immersion, and relatively weak dialogue really killed it for me.
Personally I would suggest working more on the character backgrounds, the obviously unstable driver for example had alot of potential, as did the points with the politician.
If a bit more effort was put into the story, better dialogue, the other flaws could be overlooked abit.
One last note however, is the murderer and the cliff hanger ending. (You stop it with the detective alone and unarmed against an incredibly unstable killer?)
When I hit the end I was suprised...there was absolutely no lead up to it, if for example, there was..lets say a background check on him, then you find out about his disorders, or even a shrine to the girl, or something...Just anything to really expand the character concepts so that the game has some sort of immersion.
Overall, I rate it 3/10, despite its flaws, the stories potential makes me wanting a remake that offers more character depth, which is a staple necessity for detective games.
