it was okay. good enough to make me feel sorry for the lil jackolantern? kinda funny. definitely not top two of all time. definitely....not. i'ma give it time and let it shrink to number 50 or somethin.
This is an exact copy of Invader Zim and/or Squee
I can't beliave that no one else has noticed the similarity between this and stuff like Invader Zim, Squee and other Jhonen Vasquez creations.
First off, I will comment on the flash. Good animation, very moderate sound quality and the humor was OK. Not my cup of tea at all, but it was OK.
But the style is a complete copy of Invader Zim (Jake is an almost exact copy of GIR, Zims sidekick). Go ahead and type it in Google and you'll see what I mean. The thing is, I would not have minded if Jhonen Vasquez was AT LEAST referenced as an influense, or as a "special thanks" or something. As it is now, the author is claiming the style as his own and I think that's not right.
I gave this a 6 because I still think it's an OK flash cartoon - the author is obviously talanted. If Vasquez was referenced, I would have given it a 7.
