Well...
...the premise is good, and I quite like the changing camera depth, but like you said you really didn't put much work into the graphics. I reckon if you spruced up the graphics, added some more animations (the guy walking sideways looked silly) and a little story, you could have a very good game on your hands.
It works!
In the room with the knife-throwing guy and the lightswitch, you can make your character walk on the walls. I don't know if this happens anywhere else, and although it doesn't hurt the gameplay, it sure looks weird.
I didn't like how the characters only looked at the screen, even when moving left or right. If this is too difficult to fix, I'd suggest taking the guy's hands out of his pockets. It seemed like he should be afraid, but he looked kind of bored. Overall the graphics seemed lacking, but you already pointed out why that was so
However, your game was amusing and wasn't overly challenging. It would benifit from added length. The song was kind of catchy and definately suited the game, but there weren't many sound effects. Perhaps some moans from the zombies?

Fun game
Pretty fun game, although it isn't record setting or anything like that. It was good for what it was, reminded me of Zelda: Link to the Past quite a bit too. The music was pretty catchy, but got repetitive so you should add a pause music button. It was unique and interesting, I liked it.

This game was pretty cool, also very orignal but a little of your animation was off at times you might need to fix that. The graphics were not as good as they could have been
