Technically, this game is a marvel. the graphics and sound are reminiscent of old RPGs on the SNES, Mega Drive and possibly PlayStation. But, unfortunately, the combat for me was boring. Click a weapon, click 'Attack', click an enemy and BOOM, you do an attack, the potency of which relies on statistics. When i started playing and heard the mention of mechs, i was looking forward to somee wicked mechwarrior combat. But instead, i find monotonous turn-based cat fights.
Other than that, and the hilarious habits of the NPC's, this is not a bad game. I think you should use the same engine, but with different characters and plot. Change the combat engine, implement something a bit more interactive, something players can work at and get good at.
I look forward to the follow up and/or other games of this kind from you guys.
