this is just amazing
i loved it-it was like a fusion of earthbound and final fantasy games. incredible programming, and you put a simple light humorous mood on it. it was just great, i cant wait for part 2.

Awesome. Stuff like this always makes me yearn for the days of FF5,6, and 7. Ah those were some good times. Anyway, I liked the feel of this game very much, and the intro was pretty creative. Oh the joys of being a little kid with an active imagination.
The only major improvement that I can think of off of the top of my head is to add keyboard controls to combat. I don't really like having to switch between the keyboard and mouse a lot.
I'll be looking forward to the rest of the series!

I've liked what I've played so far, very good use of sprites, and an unconventional beginning that manages to catch your interest without being cliche, which is difficult to begin with.
Battle system is entertaining, and the reaction abilities are excellent addition to the standard rpg type combat.
Only complaints are with keysettings. It's annoying, and slows gameplay having to either switch from mouse to keyboard to enter menu or having to hunt and peck with the keyboard hand for certain keys. Perhaps having a keybindings option will facilitate greater control, and contentment of the players.
Otherwise I'm quite satisfied with my experience playing your game.
