Damn, this was real good.
I really liked the music, the intro with the dragon, I really needed a game that kinda jokes around with those old RPG-elements but still maintains that true feeling!
The alienthing is just hilarious, and I like the way you used names from mythology (Enki etc.) and I can't wait to play Chapter 2!

Which indeed they are.
"Mardek" should really be "Marduk" actually, but I came up with the name years before I knew anything about mesopotamian myths and just made the connection in THIS game due to the similarity that I noticed and, uh... WOO. MYTHS. o_O

This game is one of the greatest games ever to feature on Newgrounds in my opinion especially with the prospect of another 7 titles and if they are as long as this game may laed up to an impressive 5 - 10 hours of an online game.
The graphics are similar to the retro FFs which is in no way a bad thing many of those were brilliant (FF6 springs to mind)
The plot was great and for an intro to a game is an exciting prospect wondering what will happen to these characters. (Though I do suspect that it will be each one of those things at the end will be a final boss to each part before revealing a greater entity am i right?)
The different things you can do in this is also great. (For those who have'nt played yet theres even a subquest in there)
I just wish that all 8 parts of this would come quicker so I can play!
I also think that maybe you should develop for gameboy possibly if you can convince nintendo. With games like this it is possible.

Heh! This is a really, really short intro chapter; the other chapters will probably be like 3-6 hours long each. Fun!
Good but one problem
I was playing and it is great and is really fun..... but there seems to be a bug. When you get gameover it seems that you can't get back to the main menu.
P.S. I died on purpose. I should of read the instructions.

Awesome game. I loved the randomness of the dialog I think my favorite was when the dragon said (whatwouldadragonsay) I'm awaiting the next one. Have you thought of trying to get this game out on like the playstation or something? And in response to the people bitching about how hard the dragon was: All you need is some PATIENCE seriously. You can't expect the author to just make it hella easy cause that would suck.
