Reviews for "Tie Fighter Assault"

Nice work teejay.
You did great, and since my laptop is quad core I had no bugs.
Lucky me, though the enemies and bosses were great.
The final boss, wow almost hard.

Personally, I picked you because 1: Your my favorite flash/movie maker, and second of all I think your a very good acquiantance, yes?

Aside from that, Great job.
Kdaza26 out.

For your first flash game, it's pretty well done. I dont know flash well since I too am learn it, but i can make out some suggestion and some bugs i noticed. some bugs i noticed weren't many and not that major. when I get a "Game over", Enemies will fly down the screen, or the boss lasers will still appear. another is when Im in a boss battle (not Vaders), the laser will tend to hit me even when I avoid it. also when I align up straight with vader, hie ship tends to shake alot. that's pretty much the bugs I found.
as for suggestions, i would like to see more mission variety rather than gun down X number of enemies then boss fight. im thinking something to be more like vader, a sorta chase mission where you just have to avoid the lasers, or maybe some escort mission where another one of the characters can come in and help a little in the shooting. also, more enemy variety or at least buff them up at higher levels so it's more of a challenge. I would also enjoy to see maybe some kind of shop system, so you can upgrade the ship. and maybe you could do something about the Gaiaonline avatars as characters, you could get some art of them to replace the avatar.
Im trying not to make my ideas too absurd, sorry if this isn't much help.

Thanks. I've been planning a remake of this for a long time. But this one is done in as2 and I'm now using as3, but I can't get the new code to work. The Gaia Online sprites were the same ones I used in my star wars fan film that this game is based off of. That's why. The new version will have drawn pictures.

Fellow Star Wars fan...

I enjoyed playing this game. The game had a suprisingly decent, eliminating the feeling that the round will last a long time even though there are only a few targets on the screen at a time. The gameplay was very gamemaker-esque, but in a good way. In terms of playable characters, I expected to see the X-wing, Y-wing, and YT-1300 freighter, but the inclusion of a TIE defender impressed me. On a final note, I was definitely suprised when the lvl.1 boss fired off an eclipse-style superlaser, frying me in one shot!

very good especially for your 1st

you should consider putting in a pause button cuz with 80 or so kills to go and if u have to piss.... well the choice is obvious u go piss and die

teejay-number13 responds:

Tell me how to make a pause button and I will.

For your first Flash

Well done for your first flash. Still work to do. Ok, few bugs. With they Y-Wing there are a few collision issues with the lasers. I can be a few inches away and I'll still get hit. Second, if I get a game over the ships still come down the screen. Third, your using Gaia avatars. A bit..un-original. This is your first flash though. Add a few power ups, not the same ship EVERY time, and you'll get an eight or nine. Well done still for your first flash.

teejay-number13 responds:

There are three different types of enemy ships. You have to make it pass the first level to see them. The bosses stay the same of course, till the last level.
