great game, but the sound/music, made me want to punch small animals. i agree with a few people in the sense that it was to easy though,
~a cool upgrade system would be sweet!

Great game
This is the kind of game I really love to play. It's smooth with good graphics and nice simple controls. There's a good story, that isn't in your face and doesn't force you to reel through loads and loads of text. It's funny and it's quite challenging in places. The game doesn't lag (at least not for me).
I think you have the health exactly right. You can get hit three times before you die, when you die you don't have to restart the whole game. It's challenging but it's not the end of the world if you die.
Generally I like the combat system, especially how you make it that you can only hurt enemies when it's possible for them to hurt you. Fighting most of the enemies does take a bit of skill. I think some enemies do have a tiny bit too much health. The main problem I have with the combat side is that it's quite easy to dodge fighting enemies altogether.
I'd have liked to see a boss half way through and perhaps a more difficult end battle. I did really appreciate the mine-cart bits though - very retro.
All in all this is a lovely game, it's totally playable, fun and nice to look at.

Can't get enough of Pico games, and shooters especially. Loved this one. The controls and animations are all supersmooth, it's easy to shoot, the sceneries are all varied and carnage-inviting... and the music is classic arcade-style. Much enjoyed.
