Reviews for "Cube Colossus"

great

i liked the controls are hard to get at first which makes it challanging

Great game

Everything about this game is brilliant. The only problem I have with it is that the targeting system isn't very practical. In the end we just choose homing/fast/spread weapons and ignore aiming (except for maybe changing targets).

About the grammar: It's GOOD that it has bad grammar. The art isn't very serious but the plot is, the bad grammar works as comical relief. Trust me it's great.

The pixel art is excellent.

The first mines gun should be upgraded, 2nd mines one is fine but not too useful (though it's funny when I got her to land on like 50mins I played down and she insta-died.

More than awsome

After trying "normal method" to finish the game, I dared to replay it again only using Gatling gun to finish whole level (not with the extra stage, final boss exhaust me). I think this method can implemented as an achievement, if you make something like this again ^^

Balance between status upgrade and difficulty is good, even though some level (10, 16, 20) should be replayed many times ^^. And after finishing the game, when I try the Chapter 10 again, "a!, did this stage became that easy?" come out from my mind.

The control map make the game feels "difficult but not irritating" because it make me always moving the A.M.U. for looking best position while dodging bullet and cubes.

Chain brakes can give me some rest between intense bullet and cube dodging, 50% overdrive countdown reduced if getting hit when chain bar full make the game more interesting (to not closing the browser due to irritating difficulties).

Overall, perfect choice of features make a should-be-hard game can be finished happily ^^

Nearly Perfect!

The only thing that detracts from this game is the grammar(as you've no doubt already been reading in these comments). Otherwise, absolutely perfect!

Beating Loki was extremely difficult, and managed to take me nearly an hour to kill. Use Odin with the last beam weapon, and then strafe slowly, and I mean SLOWLY, perpendicular to Loki. If you get the speed down right, you'll manage to avoid EVERY SHOT, excluding the boss literally landing on top of you.

It takes a LOT of practice, but I almost got him down without using my overdrive. I was forced to use it at the end due to having only 400 or so hp left.

P.S. I'm sure there's plenty of people who'd turn that bad grammar into better grammar if you posted the script somewhere and then directed people to it and asked them to help. I understood what the characters were saying, but it was pretty hard to read.

Heroic Anime Arcade Shooter

For any avid action gamer, one would love this. A fighter type shooter with high pace mechanisms and octane video game style background music only reinforces the nostalgia and thrill of this type of play.

I like the RPG/upgrade system too, it gives you a sense of progression as well promoting different playstyles, aka tanker or dodger.

The english grammar, is not bad, perfectly understandable. Just keep at it, grammar is certainly a subject even college class students fail at.

I would purport a multiple slot save, as opposed to one slot only but it works. That way, it gives the player a chance to rewind.

Otherwise, extremely fun, anime in a bucket. It could probrably fit in an PSP/Ipod too! Pew pew!
