Reviews for "The Next Floor"

After beating the second game with this character this one is the first one to use the man with the top hat. So to begin you have to defend an elevator with a gun at first then use the money you get from killing enemies to gain money to upgrade your elevator. You can use it to buy turrets ranging from machine gun turrets to laser guns. Some turrets don't do the damage they just push them back. You can upgrade them to make them more powerful. There were a few times I made a mistake and sold them. Each amount of days you do you get extra floors to defend. You can buy more elevators to defend yourself some more. The enemies are the same as the sequel they start off as small blobs to large ones. You have 15 days to defend your self and then it's over. I give this game a 8 out of 10.

Tower defense featuring elevators flash. It reminds me of Elevator Action. Gameplay could use more upgrades, weapons, and options. Would be nice to see a few bonus levels.

the games great but when are you gonna make a remake of this or "loot the game"

alright you got a pretty cool idea, but you didn't do anything interesting with it! you just made it so you have to buy the ability to place turrets in new hallways. optimal way is to just buy elevator for each hallway, if you don't, that's dumb.

you gotta come up with ways for this feature of moving turrets to different hallways to matter, like a teleporting boss switching between hallways, and that some elevators are stronger/weaker than others, like you can invest a lot into one, so that it has extra turret slots too and stuff. and/or not having enough elevators for all the hallways, so you gotta manage em. for example on day 2 or something, you only have one elevator but two hallways, and you can't afford another elevator.

and the enemies are all the same, too. what about an enemy that attacks the player?

a mini-boss that pops out of one of those doors in the hallways, so they start off super close to the elevator? what about one that does something with those lights that get shot onto the ground, like absorbing them? you could then make some upgrades to the lights, or maybe your character should go to that floor to grab em before they get absorbed?

or one that moves on the ceiling so it gets hit less,
or one that hides in those rooms to regen hp, you could board the doors up to try to prevent this or something,

make a boss? one that maybe goes to the weakest hallway every few seconds?
or bosses could just be the normal enemies on steroids, and there are normal enemies that teleport, or like meld through the ceilings/floors to get to a weaker elevator's hallway?

also some lore/reasoning, maybe these blobs are basically zombies, and your job is to clear this skyscraper out of blobs. the money is either from getting paid to kill them and/or selling whatever stuff they absorbed into their bodies. or maybe they're edible.
and maybe there's a survivor base, who's paying you to clear this skyscraper out so they can use it.

ah and maybe you could start by clearing out small apartment buildings. that have elevators. or not. you could probably make that work without elevators.

and maybe have character upgrades, tools, or just different guns, like a sniper rifle for taking out specific annoying enemies.

I wrote this last night, now i'm sad because this was made in 2009 and the last time he made a game was 2013.

simple, use normal turrents, then switch to upgraded ones which do more damage, then go for laser cannons, it will destory everything in it's path
