The game is fun, with its challenge and insane amount of ships, but its not meant to be played a lot. The type of gameplay that is in the game is only meant to be something you play once or twice, there is little replay value.
For those stuck, try using two ships at a time. If you can manage them, then its almost double the firepower and life.
