Lot's of Fun-- But
I really got excited when I started this game. I thought it was going to have you go through a series of apprentices and then you could watch how they all progressed in their adulthood and interacted with each other.
What I got was a single guy to work on, which was great for a while but it got very monotonous eventually and I stopped. A major issue for me was the combat, there was effectively no choice yet I had to click through every round. If you are always going to pick your best attack why not just automate the whole thing and speed it up. That's an easy fix I would have thought.
I liked the adventures a lot (apart from the afore-mentioned combat) and this game just shows a lot of promise. If I was going to work on a sequel I would shorten the weeks to a single year and have a section of the game where you could observe the travels, achievements and interactions of your old students, auto-resolve combat and make it possible for a student to die so that it gains a rogue like luck and skill edge. (You can just get another apprentice of course.)
Overall really enjoyable and I hope to see more like it.
