Shouldn't let "time restraints" hold you back.
The boss is predictable not even a minute into it. You have one weapon. It's pretty much "hold down the left mouse button and dodge these same attacks." ....Has promise, just work on it a bit longer, add levels, weapons, etc. On the plus side, I liked the look of it. Nice graphics.

8-bit does not work for any madness game, movie, or otherwise.

should have limited ammo instead of shooting all the time and very easy too do.
