Feels like a shooter/danmaku hybrid.
At first, the game plays like a standard space shooter; you have an upgrade store and waves of enemies, culminating in a boss. However, once you hit level two, the game converts to a Bullet Hell game, with difficult-to-avoid spray patterns that end up making you wish your ship was even smaller.
The combination works out all right, but the game has simple graphics and firing is automatic only, which is never a good thing.
