Reviews for "Kid Launcher"

fucking awesome :D

The only bad part is that I did better with the fat kid :(

oops...

good start, i did have fun playing it, but i got to around 150000 and then i started to freeze up. granted i was on a laptop, but still, the images pretty much dissappeared but i still saw the score go up, i got to about 280000 when my comp went to blue screen... i can only say, i hope that wasn't intentional

Some Errors you need to fix

When I went over 10,000 meters it said I went 100km... which is 100,000meters.

When I saw the medals it said 100,000meters.

That's one error I saw and I think it'll be better if it zoomed out a little bit when the guy is flying.

Also make things that give you money when you get it while flying.

Finally try to make a altitude meter and speed meter maybe....

Not polished, but a good start.

For a first game, it's not bad. It certainly shows promise. It's obvious that a decent amount of work went into this, and at least there doesn't seem to be any major bugs.

That said, it's also not a fleshed-out game in it's own right. I like the music, and I like the idea with the bear, but it's still a heavily stripped down "toss the turtle". Very, very heavily.

Once you launch and use the booster, there really isn't any point to even watching it. Without any user-interaction, everything from that point forward is just random anyway. So, personally, I wound up muting the sound, streaming WCYY.com, and facebook-stalking my friends. Ever couple minutes, I'd glance to see if the current run was done and start up a new one.

Also, without major user interaction, it's mostly random as to how far you go. If you hit a lot of obstacles, you go very far. If not, you don't. There is no way for a player to influence that one way or the other. This makes it rather difficult to feel any sense of pride in a high score. It's like winning in the card game "War"... meaningless, except for the hour of your life you spent in playing.

For your next game, aim bigger. Even if you just make a sequel, make there be more too it. And as another reviewer said, "own it". Find something to add to the game-play that sets you apart from the older and - currently - better "toss the ___" games.

Good luck, and bravo on your first game.

Eh....

This been done too many times but I give you props on the animation.
