This was a pretty fun game overall. I think that it could be improved by doing a few things however:
Pause button! Unless I missed it somehow, there's no way to pause the game :(
I was going to say more towers but the specific ground types makes it more strategic and doesn't really require more. Perhaps more towers if they could be a good addition and not just added in order to appease people.
Anyways, it's a great game :D

love this game. i'm lvl 27, got so many upgrades that I can faceroll the final level with no gems lost - i got 9 excellents, and 6 brilliants, and at this point i'm just facerolling the maps to level up. I think i've spent far too much time playing this :)
love the game concept. The enemies are wonderfully warried and work well with each other - the rogue/bard guys might be frail, but if they speed boost a ninja... oh dear. Love this. The towers are neat too, i like the terrain limitations: it makes you really think... plus you need ninja-spoters early on the routes to make them pop their stealth so it wears out before they reach your gems.

I think it looks better because that it isn't just a tower defence , it has skills,bonuses, and a BETTER tower defence than just a "boring" tower defence!
