Reviews for "Pico's Musical experience"

would have been a lot cooler if the actual keys were synced with the music, i would have actually played instead of key mashing for the medals

Not much of an experience.

Music was ok. Everything else was bad though.

You can just button mash without even looking at the screen to get top score.

Some interesting ideas, though lots of weaknesses

I liked the idea of the red bar, though I think it would be better if moving it was an instant move up/down. Also I liked the idea that you can have something outside the game (the walking part). Also I liked the different speed arrows moving with stuff and the idea of the ? arrow.

However, this game fails as a rhythm game in that it doesn't require that much rhythm skills because the arrows move a bit too slowly and it doesn't matter how close you get to correct timing in terms of points. The arrows being independent of lanes made things harder though forces an easier game overall.
There should be a harder mode with harder stuff...

EventHorizon responds:

you're right about some things, however I appreciate your honesty.

In the Thythm genre, but has none to speak of.

The arrows never matched the rhythm, which is essential for a game that is in that genre. In addition to that, one can simply hold down all four arrow keys for the entire game and never miss a note. A system that requires the arrow to be pressed when the arrow is on the bar would be much better than the current system merely require the arrow be pressed at any point.
