Reviews for "Bearboy and the Cursor"

Good but a glitch I found

In level 13 I jumped into the wall at the backside of the portal (making sure I wasn't missing any hidden items being the completionist I am) when I sunk into it. At first I thought that was a good sign, but then the screen didn't scroll with me. When I attempted to move back out I couldn't see my character. I'm not sure if I jumped off the visible screen somehow with the glitch, or just ceased to be in the active area of the game but... either way you may want to take a peek at it.

Thanks! I'll fix that soon as.

Freaking Sweet!

This game is actually pretty bad ass, and I don't think I've ran into one as original as this. The music in the game is real groovy too. It's quite challenging, I'll play this some more in the AM when I wake up.

Interesting Concept.

I have to say that the game is pretty fun, and is a good time killer to people who like Platformers.

Now, this is totally off-subject of being a review, but to anyone who complains about having to WALK THROUGH THE AD is just plain lazy... It doesn't depend on the ad loading either, you just have to walk to the portal., it didn't take me too long to tell what to do. This ad system is better than the ones with the "skip ad" buttons if you ask me.

My only complaint would have to be it moves a little slow for my liking.

great game

a twist to you ordinanry plattaformer

Decent platformer ruined by a bad add system.

First the game itself: Controls were slow and a bit laggy and the cursor bits were very imprecise. Reloading after death also took a bit too long. Other than that, it had some good mechanics and was fairly fun. It would probably have scored a 7-8 on it's own, especially if the second and third worlds got better.

The bad news though, is that this game is literally unplayable for me. I understand that you are trying to make a profit and I accept ad systems. However, the ads didn't load for me and continuing in the game is based on watching the complete add. No ad loading means that I cannot continue. I refresh and come back, and I can play one more level before the ads lock me out again. Many games fix this problem by using a count-down timer on the ads and allowing gameplay to continue after (for example) 30 seconds regardless of whether the ad loaded.

If you correct this problem and allow me to keep playing, I will be happy to give you a higher score. 2/5, 5/10

HeadFizz responds:

Hi Dragonheart,

you don't have to wait for the ads to load at all! you can just walk to the portal and go right to the next level. sorry if this hurt your experience with the game, I implemented the ad system this way because I thought it might be a little more original than other ad systems. I gotsta make a living :)
