It's good fun but...
Was really enjoyable, but after my laptop reset itself all of my data has been deleted and am now having to start again :(
Very good game but lacks.
While I like playing this game I feel like I am playing with plastic toy soldiers against another non responsive toy soldier army.
The way you can fix this is simple.
"Way point enemies, I realise helicopters do it, but what about enemies?"
"Chaser AI, the enemies can chase you down."
"Response shot cone, You can set where the line of fire is, the default is usually ahead. You can also choose to "not fire", for when an enemy gets in this cone they get shot used for the player's troops"
"Multiple unit control via the mouse drag select.""
"Set up responses, this also goes along the lines of "shot cone", but take it to another level. Set up where you want the troop to walk/what the unit can do when he see's an enemy cross this cone."
"Enemy with level of alertness, As enemies get more and more sight of your troops a expanding radius around the enemy troops that "see" you, will start to alert and call more and more enemies to the fight using Chaser Ai."
"A ninja, for ninja's make everything better, can climb background blocks "aka those blocks that hold structure up but don't collide with players". Also a funny suicide pirate who drinks alot hence very flammable."
Perform this, and have a masterful game. Enjoy.
It's lacking a certain something
The overall game is pretty good. I like how the characters look. I like how you refer to the bad guys as "baddies." It's childish, but in a good way. Like when you used to play with toy soldiers.
The main problem I have with it is that it's a cross between a strategy game and an action game. It has elements of strategy in that you have your team and you level it up and there are strengths/weaknesses to each unit. And there's the action where you actually control the soldiers and their actions.
The two types don't blend very well in this game. I mean it's fun and nice to play, but it lacks something for me.
