Reviews for "Crystal Story"

Absolutely amazing! Quite possible THE greatest flash game I've ever played. Dying for a sequel to this! You should be charging for this game, seriously. At no point did I feel like I was playing a free flash game. Great stuff, very polished.

I have to say, this game is fantastic. I love RPGs like this. It gives it a sort of "exploration" feeling.
I love this game, im telling you that. The pet slime was a cute little thing, but the cold slimes also were a bit pointless, But I laughed when it used the move stare. This is one of the many RPGs that are great enough to be created as a real game.

This is a great game! Very fun, and it was surprisingly long. Character customization was really fun, I reset my AP several times just to see everyone's different moves for each class. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised overall with this game, it gives the feeling of being very in-depth without feeling tedious. The only complaints I could come up with would be the difficulty of the battles not being very hard, Gold was a little too plentiful, i never had a problem upgrading my eq cause I always had way more gold than I needed. It kinda took away from the game not having to pick and choose my upgrades... That said, these are minor complaints based on my opinions of what a game should feel like, Overall this is a fantastic game, Great work!

This game is really fun and really addicting. Upgrading weapons is nice and easy, battles are not random and can be avoided, there are 4 classes and 4 characters so one can be each. For each character, there are three classes available; for example: Tristam can be a fighter, rogue or mage; Kaeli can be a Healer, Mage, or Rogue. The monsters are interesting, and there are more powerful forms of them and you are rewarded for slaying the powerful beasts. Also, when the boss monsters are defeated, they come back stronger, although worn out. It also has some funny scenes giving it a cute anime-esque format. The monsters gain a level with each floor. I also like how the floors change depending on how far you've gone.
However, I found a few problems. Like when I was using the heal spell, it restored 300 some HP, later when I used it, it restored 130 some HP; and when I used Greater Heal, it restored a similar amount to the latter. Are there any actual elemental affinities or do the elements that are attached to the spells just there? The stronger versions are difficult, but can be pushovers. The monster, rabid wolf, has an very powerful attack that reduces the ATK and MAG stats of the entire team, flipping the advantages in an instant. I seem to find the epic and legendary weapons and torso armor often, which renders purchasing new equipment less needed.
Although there are a few problems, overall, it's still a great, fun game. In fact I would love to play a sequel if there would be one!
