armour games is unrivaled when it comes to flash games.

Absolutely brilliant.

What a fantastic game. Not only was it satisfying to level up all my little fighters, but conquering all of the land as well as defeating the king was very fun. I seriously hope to see more games like this. <3

Monotony. Entertaining Monotony

Once you get about half way through season 1, you've probably seen all this game has to offer. Still you'll probably enjoy playing all the way through to the end of season 2 in order to finish the game (which is when 99% of people will finish it).

There's little point to replaying because, in my experience, everything goes pretty much the same. There's not enough variety to hold you past the first playthrough, which will almost certainly take you two years. Unless you suck. Or maybe could be done in one year, if your super lucky.

The game needs two basic things, an increase in task variety and some a deeper level of personal involvement. The variety could come in the form of quests, difficult "recruit the unique" tasks, opponents attempts at sabotage, attempts at sabotaging opponents, more "commander" stats other than fame, or anything to break the monotony of "hit the train button as soon as possible".

This game is like fireworks, you light the fuse, sit back, and watch the pretty colors. While that is enjoyable, I would have liked to have been able to participate more personally. The story would have been more enjoyable if was playing as more than an omnipotent guiding hand for my uber uniques. Maybe during battle add in upgradable command skills, or allow the commander more opportunities to act personally out of battle such as contract negotiations or morality decisions (everyone seems to like those nowadays).

Really, you probably already know all these things, but most of these suggestions require a fair amount of work to implement. Now if your one of those people who makes sequels, you've already got your engine built. So maybe you make a bigger shinier sequel? Maybe not. Regardless, THIS game is fun, simple, and easy to "pick up and play". 4/5.
