Too much lag
First a tip: the spread gun is the most powerful gun I've seen. I've also tried laser and bumb gun and the spread gun is better than either (though the laser is pretty good). For sheer close range damage spread gun can't be beat.
It's a pretty fun game... for a while. However, in later levels (I just finished level 17) it gets very laggy and difficult to control. Sometimes in intense combat the character goes completely nonresponsive, carrying out actions I told it to do seconds ago instead of what I'm telling it to do now. The "earthquake" effect absolutely does not help with the lag and there's no way to turn it off.
Also, there are too many instances of you (the game designer) just being a dick.
- the worm is OK in earlier levels but it simply moves too fast. There's only time to kill 50% of the enemies (even when you 1 hit kill everything you don't have time to turn around and shoot what's behind you) and you just have to rush past the others way too fast. Slow the damn worm down in later levels.
- It bears repeating: You really overdo it with the worm. As a game designer, this is just plain being a dick, and not fun.
- Lava kills you when you didn't appear to touch it. If you land on a platform that is level with the lava, you should not die. Shrink the bounding box on the lava.
Fed up with this game (lag + worm) for now.
